A former Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, has handed a subtle warning to leaders of the new political coalition.

DAILY POST reports that there is an ongoing coalition being built by the likes of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, among others.

Top politicians across the country gathered to celebrate the 60th birthday of Amaechi in Abuja on Saturday.

Speaking earlier, Atiku had declared himself, Amaechi, and El-Rufai as conspirators.

Atiku said he, Amaechi, and the opposition coalition are united in their opposition to President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In response, Dickson warned his political colleagues to be mindful of the choices they make, adding that their past conspiracy and coalition, which removed the Peoples Democratic Party and Goodluck Jonathan from office in 2015, has not favoured Nigerians.

He said, “When I came in here and climbing up here, I’ve seen a lot of you. And as my brother said, there are a number of you who are expert conspirators, who know how to assemble coalitions and then take out governments, as you did to my party in 2015.

“And when you did so, particularly to a clueless government, so-called, now 11 years down the line, we thought that there would have been no weaponization of poverty and that all the challenges of Nigeria would have been gone.

“And the only advice I can give, not being a professional coalition builder and conspirator as some of you are, is at this time, shine your eyes.”

It didn't cast, the challenge they are having is clash of interest; they all have a Presidential ambition and time, age, etc aren't on their sides.



Obi's challenge is the Obidient Movement, they won't be happy if Peter Obi isn't the Presidential candidate.

Atiku cannot be a running mate again based on constitution and based on age, 2027 is his last chance.

1. Gej had a big issue with the north cos they had done just 2 years of presidency before yar adua died so it was easy to project buhari to replace him, fast forward to 2025 , the coalition can't sell north candidates even if they try , they also can't sell obi cos that will mean potential Northern candidates who are not part of the coalition having to wait another 12 years before they touch power , so the coalition is stuck .

So the format of saying the north is cheated can't fly , or use insecurity to demarket BAT also is not flying , those were the issues they used to defeat Gej.
