🗣️🗣️ Dear Nigerians,

The Federal Co-operative College, Oji River, an institution mandated to provide cooperative education and entrepreneurial skills, is now: Wait For It!

📌 Installing streetlights for N1 billion,

📌 Electrifying communities for N1.5 billion, and

📌 Buying vehicles for farmers at N3 billion.

How exactly does this align with their mandate?

How?

Nigeria is one helluva crime scene.

Infact the country is a real life heist.

God have mercy.

Funny thing is that nothing will be done about this neither will it be investigated.

The Narional Assembly as it is today has no usefulness than for the appropriation of corruption.

Where are those who says Tinubu or nothing? Look at this brazen corruption? But he will do nothing about it because he himself is corrupt. Hate Obi as you like, but you can never associate him with this kind of spending.

More reason why the people need to hold their governors, state and federal lawmakers accountable for all allocations they are receiving.

lexy2014:
did you see governors mentioned in the story?
what concerns governors with padding federal budget?
the budget in question, who is ultimately responsible for it?
are the funds allocated in this story allocated to the legislature?
Do you anything inside the budget your state governor is operating with?

The constituency projects your lawmakers are collecting huge amounts for, have you asked them to render account?

If you use half the energy you spend wailing on Tinubu’s actions on your elected representatives who are closer to you, life will be better for you and others in the state.

Where exactly is the corruption here... ?

1.5 billion naira is peanut when you really want to properly electrify communities...

We must understand that our naira holds no value anymore...

What was done before with 200 million now goes for like 800 million naira.

It will take another generation for these docile set of conquered species of humans called Nigerians to wake up.
How can we keep seeing all these in plain sight and everywhere is still calm.
Like I always say , Nigerian politicians are the luckiest in the world.

If they are actually using the money to do it no big deal. All the items highlighted there are for the community, not personal benefits. And it's for a whole year.

I don't understand you o, is he not the president? The buck stops at his table. When his subordinates have seen his body language, when they know he will do nothing, why won't they do this? If he has given marching orders to the planning and budget ministry to scrutinize all items and giving instructions on prosecuting people putting bogus things like this or those awarding bogus contracts or inflating contracts, they won't dare. His body language is chop I chop so anything goes. Worst of all is that man Akpabio who says rubbish Everytime and rubber stamps anything he sees. He is the president and he sets the precedent

Someone is using their account to pad the budget. Forget.
Is it not the same college along old road in Oji river? .
Go to that place and see if it looks like a secondary school let alone federal government college.

The level of atrocity going on in this country is unimaginable.
I don't even know what else to say.

That's not my business. His boss at the top has allowed him, his boss does worse. When his boss was busy carrying people up and down to Dubai, he felt he can do such. If the president isn't corrupt, nobody will dare be this corrupt. If I see person do this kind for my company, if I don't sack him immediately, it shows I have a part in it or I am incompetent.

Is ebilokan no longer the president, with capacity to fire those unfit for his government?
Maybe he is too focused on his own looting to bother with others who are using their political influence to keep him in power huh

chisomkachy:
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.

The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.

Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.

The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

It is always the president fault all time

Why don't you blame the institution for mismanaging the funds ? The FG have already tried by disbursing the money in the first place but how institutions that is supposed to be a good example in the country always misappropriating funds and mismanaging funds?

If the federal government didn't allocate any money for them you will see various media campaign criticizing the government but when they disbursed the money would disappear with no traces.

Nigeria is doom because of the level of human we have in this country, very dishonest and selfish individuals that will go to any length to steal they will even come after you if you don't give them chance and won't hesitate to do bad things to you and your love ones, this country Is doom because of Nigerians not because of the government.

A few crumbs of daily palliative bread is all we get for the subsidy savings that ebilokan is using to bribe politicians for his reelection.

Who will save us from ourselves huh

A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.
