1. They configure their machines. If you buy 5000 fuel. They will pour 3.5 fuel inside car then pocket the 1.5
They register it as 3500 fuel sold
Their managers also collect their own cut from daily amount made. It's a mess
Now imagine her making 1500 naira multiplied by over 20 car owners that come to buy fuel in a day.

2. She does hookup and her fuel attendant job give her more opportunities to meet yahoo boys that come with benz to fuel stations plus married men looking for flings.
This girl always dress nice with makeup to attract her hookup customers.

Her fuel attendant salary might is 25k but she makes double of that in a day from cheating motorist. There you go

I once date a girl (pump attendant). She told me, her salary was 8k. But the money she get daily if she goes to work surpasses the 8k she's being paid. Although, that was around 2013. I doubt if such will still happen now.

I don't believe this. They are definitely paid more. Bad as e bad, N30000. Anyone that stays long on these lowpaying job is either lazy, low self-estemeed or fraudulent.

Lazy - the current job offers some physical and mental monotony that they can't bother to change.

Low self-esteem - they don't see themselves doing better.

Fraudulent - they make kickbacks on the job.

I rather sell fried yam and sweetpotatoes with peppered ponmo at a busy junction than work 30days a month for 10k.

10,000 / 30 = N333.33/daily.
Not even up to a pet coke price.

Corrupt people that make more than the N10,000 every day before. They were not complaining then but now that petro station business is not booming after fuel subsidy removal they are crying.

How can you accept to be paid N10,000 if there is nothing behind it.

You think it's that easy to alter metre.
Occasionally yes,but if you do it for a full day,not even a week on a consistent basis,you would be found out by motorists or the owner one way or the other.
Besides that,have you seen when metres are being configured?You think it's something anyone working in a fuel station can do?
Even most managers can't do it,they have to call a technician with the knowledge to adjust the metre.
They throw any kind of story for you people and you believe hook,line and sinker.
Yes,in big urban centres,attendants can make money through tips or other means,but metre tampering,oboy,na lamba.
During scarcity too thats when they also make enough extra dough

my friend worked as a moblie fuel attendant back in the day, he bought vanagon for transport business then. this was when the price of fuel was not what it is now. i also have a friend who manage one of his father filling stations and they dont pay their staffs well due to the attendants shortchanging customers, some times ago last month a man was trending when he was shouting that the attendant short over 5k from his purchase
