That's one way to look at it! When the USA invaded Iraq, it commenced with a (shock and awe) strategy to disorient the enemy and undermine their will to fight. In contrast, Russia initiated its conflict with a much larger adversary, NATO, by labeling it a «special operation. They adopted a cautious approach, targeting Kyiv with sporadic bombardments despite having a formidable military and significant firepower. This strategy only served to embolden Ukraine and its NATO allies to retaliate more vigorously. When NATO is engaged along your borders and your existence is threatened, with citizens at risk, you must respond decisively and with full force. As a military superpower, it is essential to act accordingly.

Another way's Putin knows Russia existence is threatened by Nato Expansion to its borders..that for sure he KNOWS! but you see, Ukraine destroyed a few planes so what?
