India was colonized by England just like Nigeria. So I don't understand their difficulty with English.
I just watched the guy's video in Kenya his country. You'd see how uptight he is in that video. Big difference. Travel is good

I have since corrected my original comment. We both agree that India and Nigeria per capita income being similar means similarity in the state of development of city infrastructure.

But as a whole, India is hyped up because of its tech, economy and industry.

Add to it the corruption in the Municipal Corporations in India and the fact that we have millions of immigrants flooding into Delhi every year and its no wonder that the city's infrastructure can't always keep pace.

Keep in mind, this city has almost as much GDP as entire Nigeria. So the comparison is a bit off....

Or look at Indian advancements in Supercomputing, Quantum Key Encryption, Hyperspectral Imaging, deep sea mining, etc. Indian firms are getting contracts from US military these days, like Pixxel aerospace that got contract for Hyperspectral imaging payloads that Pixxel made with Indian technology.

Caste system has been mostly replaced by the "Reservation system" in India.

Highly relevant. So called "Upper caste Indians" are legally discriminated against by the Indian law when it comes to entrance in universities or in government jobs.

If the Reservation system was American, it would lead to a situation where a White student scoring 90% in the entrance exam is denied a seat in MIT whereas a black student gets in with just 50% score and gets a 50% discount on the tuition fees, abs this is done legally, by law. And same for jobs in the FBI and Police and bureaucracy jobs.

The lowest castes have massive legal protections under the draconian SC ST act. Modi's budding successor Yogi Adityanath, who currently runs India's largest state, is also following in his footsteps of stopping Caste based politics. But even Modi uses lower caste appeasement when he runs out of options. So its not all hunky dory.

Caste is such a darling creation of the Western world because it is the best tool they have to divide India and Indians. The Brits created this myth of a Caste system by merging two disparate systems: The Varna system of Hinduism and the Jati system that is non Hindu in nature. Then the Brits used it to slander Hindus and divide and rule over India. It was (still is) their biggest weapon against India. Watch them, they never talk about the open secret that is the Caste system in Pakistan. Why? Because that breaks the Western myth that the Caste system is a Hindu system.

You are confused. Caste and race have nothing to do with one another.

Casteism is different from Racism is different from Communalism.

Racism in India
In India, we are all mostly of the same Race. There is some racial discrimination against the Chinese-looking people from North East Indian states or Ladakh. But not much.

Casteism is sporadic. Communalism is rampant only when there is an Abrahmic faith in the equation.

Casteism and Communalism are much bigger issues in Indian discourse than Racism. Don't take my word for it, read the Indian newspaper opeds and editorials.

EDIT: I forgot Reigionalism. That is also a big headache in the Southern states. But from what little I've read about Nigeria, even you guys have issues with Reigonalism, right? So maybe you can understand what causes it.

India is still currently trying more than Nigeria, if they keep up with their recent rate of development in the next 15 years it can Compete with China

The former governor asked Nigerians not to vote for unserious leaders in the coming polls, saying the elections presented Nigerians with a good opportunity that should not be squandered.

Expressing the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its developmental challenges, Jakande said hope would be actualised faster if credible people emerged as leaders in the next dispensation.

He said, “This book comes at a very auspicious time in Nigeria’s history as we need leaders who can act. We need leaders who would not compromise the standards of good governance. Let us learn to appreciate and respect every country!

India is a developing country, just like many African countries. They have very high levels of poverty, inequality, unemployment etc.
The reason why they are hyped is because of what they have been able to achieve in terms of IT, Medicine, Auto engineering etc.
Some of the best authors of professional textbooks in Business, IT etc. are Indians e.g. Pandey, Gupta etc.
A lot of Nigerian and African lives have been saved in Indian hospitals.

Recently, India successfully launched their space aircraft which cost them roughly 10% of what US spent on similar space craft.
They also have one of largest population in the world, the same way Nigeria itself is hyped for being the most populous black nation. If not for the population size, Nigeria too may not enjoy some of the fantasy hypes.

I don’t know of anyone hyping India lol.
