Nope. Irrespective of the format, the UEFA champions league remains the hardest club competition to win. The difficulty level remains legendary because it captures the best of the best and it's played in a regular season. For instance, the champions of England, Spain and Italy won't be competing in the club world cup and some players already checked out after a torrid season. Some are extremely exhausted.

The club world cup will be interesting for sure but in terms of difficulty to win, the UCL trumps it and it should.

I don't think that jobe kid is all that. I think he's just riding on the stardom of his big bro. I've seen some of his Sunderland games and im not impressed.
I think what enzo needs since we cannot easily offload him is competition from dem Santos and either of the kasongos if they're good enough, when he came in the first season under potter he brought a spark to our midfield before he started becoming fat and lazy.

Yeah, I quite agree with bolded, Many players may not fully commit to it, but when you consider the money involved, $125 million, and the fact that it could be yours in less than a month if you win, it becomes a huge motivation.
Another factor that I think it will make it tougher is the participation of the three most recent champions league winners, which raises the level of competition significantly high.
