The achievement most civil servants brag about is training their children and building a house. Infact, majority of house owners in nigeria are civil servants.

Hmmmmm, what of job security, the domestic staff can be fired at any time, and one has to be careful, some domestic staff do suffer in silence due to false accusations, but it all depends, working for a high profile politician as a domestic staff does not come on a platter of gold, one has to belong and do what they do, if I have the two options at hand, I will go for civil service, there is opportunity for career growth and also pension for life, and other benefits like NHIS, insurance cover, accessing loans from mortgage to build houses etc.

It's all abt the pay and not the certificate at times

very true a family friend of mine worked for a politicial aspirant as a security guard they were two securing his house in one of the towns in Ekiti even though he had another mansion in Lagos I won't mention the precise town their monthly pay was 25k yet this man owed them 11 months this was a man who kept doling out millions for his party members and the would be electorates during campaigns even had done empowerment,aged people monthly allowance,donated transformers,solar boreholes few years before his campaigns that is when I knew all politicians are the same many of them are what yoruba will call"adara nita ma dara nile" he never won the Ekiti north senatorial seat though I can't even say whether the security guys were later paid as i have relocated from that town Nigerian politicians are sadistically evil,heartless and cruel probably it's because they had sold their soul to the devil.

He is saying the truth politicians only dash out monies to their cronies,sugar daughters (aristos)and their occultic members more even their immediate family members they ignore them in Ikole Ekiti I lived before I know of a family I won't mention their name this man was in the house of rep 2 consecutive term yet his wealth didn't even show in his siblings life let alone outsiders granted his mum had given birth to him before she married another husband but is that why he couldn't help his siblings? he couldn't even get his younger female twins siblings government job they are into trading not saying that's bad but at least they can still combine a paid employment with business one of his siblings and her family were my church members and I taught his nephews and nieces in the private school I taught,infact his immediate younger sis is a vulcanizer the house he built is from his sweat years before the man became a federal house of rep member in Abuja.

It's like the pact they sign with the devil is never to help and spend on their relatives before they can attain any political position even his mum you wouldn't see her then and say her son was a rep member she still lived in the house she had been living many years ago

If you relate as a friend or subordinates, you might have your share of the national cake but from the perspective of an employee, they'd look down on you.

Politicians, especially the new moneies are very classist and wicked.

The focus of the conversation is the salary of their domestic staff, Nothing else is my concern.

Except you personally know more than 10 of their domestic staff that you are close to (nor be dem say dem say) that are badly paid with good qualifications then you are not qualified for this conversation.
