I noticed that in the thread that was put on front page where former Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, is purported to have said he only claimed to be Igbo for political reasons, something was left out

I noticed that the person who posted the video carefully edited out the last one minute of the interview so people would not see what Ameachi said in its entirety. These were the last words of Amaechi on the Igbo/Ikwerre issue:

Whether I'm an Igbo man or not is immaterial at this point in time. Again, I also argue with my brothers in the Ikwerre community, our cultures are similar, our language is also similar, the kind of food we eat is the same. So why would you deny being an Igbo man?

How has his last statement proved he is Igbo? Do you want him badly to be Igbo? So, because ipob wears dark uniform and police where dark uniform or because ipob carries gun and police carries guns, you meant we don't know authentic Nigeria security from terrorist ipob? Speaking similar language or eat similar food does not translate being of the same ethnicity. Always appreciate your heritage even if you are not up to hundred in the whole community

Go to school so you can be set free, you said no, you prefer owomida and political thuggery online, kontinu, hatred against someone that did you no wrong can lead to abject poverty in case you don't know.


Whether Amaechi is Igbo or not doesn't concern you if not that you harbor unbridled hatred for Igbos, even though he affirmed in the interview that Ikwerre people and Igbo are the same (same culture, same name, same language, same food) what else do you want him to say?

Forcing them to be Igbos? It's them that are forcing themselves to be Igbo. Nobody forced Oliseh and and Amaechi to bear Igbo surnames, and nobody forced them to speak Igbo as their ancestral language

The answer is always there for you, but many Biafrans prefer ignorance. You don't need to run after any tribe to woo them; they have history as handed over to them even orally. Their traditional kings are custodians of whom they are. Kings come from Ghana voluntarily to trace their origin to Yorubas' root in life. No Yoruba forces them. Far away from Brazil, Togo etc, many identified themselves as Yorubas through their oral and documented narrative without without Yorubas forcing or wooing them. Itsekiri never denied their connection to Yorubas because of documented and narrative history. Ikwere and their kings must have cautioned Amechi to enlighten him about what he didn't know before comming out publicly to correct himself openly.

You never tire of falsehood and propaganda.
Amechi has used the Ibo card when it was necessary to him.
He has realised that for 2027 the Ibo card is a dud card that is totally useless. Peter Obi,Obidients and IPOB have practically made it impossible for anyone associated with anything Ibo to gain any political foothold or traction in 2027. Amechi is only being politically wise and savy.

Amechi made it clear that he is an Igbo man.
