You buy or build a costly house now, Nigerians will want you to drop something; you buy an expensive car, they'll want you to celebrate it/water the ground for them; you spend hugely on a plot of land, they'll want you to settle them; you spend a crazy amount processing a successful visa, ohooo, you must declare drinks for guys!

No one wants to ask if the person still has any kobo remaining!

Where did we get this mindset from?

Yesterday, she called me to say that she's around and I should come pick up my Rams. Lo and behold, this is what she bought for me at 500k.

They're even bigger than the one I bought for 300k last year. 3 Rams for 500k looks very unreal, but this is my reality.

I give one to my dad, my mom, and I pick one.

I am so happy at the moment and happy because I do not listen to women's sentiments of rivalry. 🤣😂🤣

I admire your resolve to not let your mom stop you from associating with your step mom.
However, I can bet Bulaba's left blokos that your stepmom didn't buy those three rams for 500k.
She bought them way more expensive but decided to give them to you for a reason.
She knows that your mom doesn't like her and that she may eventually convince you not to like her as well.
Since you hold an important position in the family, she has to find a way to convince you that she's a good person.
When you asked her help you buy ram, she saw the opportunity and took it beyond the line.
I am not saying she's not a good person.
Just be careful so she doesn't manipulate you into beginning to resent and become hostile towards your mom.
Women, including your mom, are very manipulative.

That is a good deal. The North is the bedrock of cheap foodstuffs generally. Sometimes when I send foodstuffs to my contacts in Lagos and PH, they call to ask if I stole these items. That leaves me thinking about how expensive foodstuffs are over there.

Whether Christians or Muslims, middle men are the real problems of food price increases.

They are our fathers mothers brothers and sisters .
Make them allow the poor breathe.

What I learnt last year also was that one should not just rush to buy at exorbitant price, with some patience and native intelligence I bought a ram of 120k when people made me believe I won't see that size of ram for less than 200k.

That is wrong. What is acceptable is بهيمة الانعام, and that is Camel, Cow, Sheep, and Goat, male and female. The bigger, the higher the reward. The evidence is in surah al an'aam (fourth chapter) and sunnah.
