Good morning Nairaland Technicians.
My Samsung A05 4/64 is hanging, if I'm pressing the phone, it will hang nothing wouldn't work until when I press the power button to off the background and on it again, the hanging persits I'm fed up the way phone give me headache.
The memory available RAM used 47.5 remain 16.6gb, ROM used 2.8gb remain 765mb available.
Please help me out.

I won’t be surprised if another company makes most of the internals and sumsung just slams their UI and branding on it.

I know you bought the phone cos you saw "Samsung" that phone is a low budget device with a low budget CPU that would give you headache. Pls try to get a midrange device next time. I can imagine how you feel right now cos I once had a budget device and I felt like smashing it.

The A-series is a midrange budget phone according to Sammy.

If one must own a Samsung device, stick to the S and Z series.

Depends on the A-series. Samsung A56 is dragging price with Samsung S23 plus.

Next time, look at CPU instead of just name before before buying a device. To be honest with you, there is no concrete solution to the issue. You can only keep managing the phone till you get a better one cos it would still lag. Try to remove apps that you ain't using and also be patient with the phone when clicking on any program. Let it load before rushing the phone cos the CPU in there wasn't built to handle heavy tasks. One more thing to note is that the RAM as well is small cos Samsung UI would eat up a big chunk of it. Funny enough this Helio G85 chipset in your phone would work well without hanging so much on some other brands but Samsung UI is heavy and then that ram is small too. Pls try to get a midrange device next time. I can imagine how you feel right now cos I once had a budget device and I felt like smashing it.

No mind them o. That A05 na low budget but Samsung must add price to make it look big for people who aren't tech savvy. The CPU sef already gives them off.

Which CPU minimum should one look out for?

If you want a midrange Soc and you don't want to see annoying lags again, for mediatek, go for G95, G96, G99, G100, G200, Dimensity series.
For Qualcomm, the numbering doesn't quite follow but go for the midrange snapdragon series. If you have phones you wanna compare, let me know and I'll tell you the one to get for best value

Both have the same specs. They are like the same phone with different names. They both use the same low end CPU which is unisoc T615. They are even on Android go edition which means you won't enjoy the full android features on these phones. Though if your budget is not enough for a midrange device, you can go for anyone of the two. Both of them use the same low end CPU with Tecno pop 9 but pop9 seems to have slightly more features and scores higher in the antutu benchmark

14c uses a low end CPU (Helio G81U) which is very much similar in performance to the one in pop9, Poco c71 and Redmi A5. Infact many times in raw CPU performance, the other devices can surpass the Redmi 14c. The Redmi 14c wins slightly in gaming but the games must be in low graphics settings or else the phones would get really hot except for basic games. You can go for any of the four devices so far you're not an avid gamer. Redmi 14c is above 100k. Redmi 14c however has better battery optimization and also better camera performance than the rest. Pop9 comes close when it comes to camera
