I want to thank my fellow Igbos for resoundingly rejecting Tinubu in 2023, and I have no doubt that we will do so again in 2027. For the few of us contemplating voting Tinubu in 2027, I urge you not to, for three main reasons. 1. You can bet that Tinubu’s running mate in 2027 will be Shettima, and it would be madness for us to vote a Muslim/Muslim ticket. It has always been that if a Presidential aspirant is a Muslim, his running mate should be a Christian, and vice-versa. But in Tinubu’s desperation for the Northern Muslim vote, he picked a fellow Muslim. Can you imagine if Okorocha, Obi or Umahi were running for President, and picked a Northern Christian? Who in the Muslim North would vote for a Christian/Christian ticket? We Igbos must reject a Muslim/Muslim ticket in 2027 2. In this political dispensation, we have had 8 years of Obasanjo, and by 2027, 4 years of Tinubu. Should Tinubu win in 2027, it will be 4 terms the South West has had. The South East has had none, and the South South has had one. How can we Igbos help the South West get a 4th term when the two other zones in the South have had one, or none at all? We have no business helping to make this happen. If the Presidency of Nigeria rotates between North and South, the Igbo nation should support someone from the SE or SS in 2027, they are the ones who have had the least bite of the apple. 3. Tinubu’s first two years in office has been a complete car crash, and a disastrous failure. I used to think nobody could be worse than Buhari, until Tinubu came. All indices have gotten worse, the economy, inflation, insecurity, value of the Naira etc. The man has no idea what he is doing. We have no business supporting such abysmal failure to continue in 2027. Ultimately, it will up to the Nigerian people to choose the next President, assuming credible elections are held. However, we Igbos have no business supporting Tinubu in anyway in 2027 Eziokwu bu ndu! |

gidgiddy:No one cares about the 5% from the south east. They are just a dot in a circle. Nigerians from the south west, south south and northern Nigeria will vote for him https://gazettengr.com/buhari-justified-sidelining-igbos-and-ruling-nigeria-based-on-97-5-division-femi-adesina/ Don't sha cry when the people who voted for Tinubu in 2027 are getting rewarded |

Right from the onset calculation, South East is not part of where we are expecting votes from. That won't stop his Excellency from delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of South East. Buhari won twice without South East votes, President Tinubu has won once without South East votes, why should we be expecting votes from there again in 2027. Realistically in politics, the more you sow, the more you reap. |

Ikaeniyan0:Are the people who voted for him in 2023 getting rewarded now? Has he bettered their lives? The people that will vote him are people from all regions including the SE who are directly benefiting from him, or directly benefiting from someone who is benefiting directly from him (because politics is about interest) and people who are very loyal to their tribe and want their kinsman to be there. But that’s like 25% of Nigerians. The rest will choose a different path |

2027 is not about the Igbos. It is about kicking out terrible leaders at the centre. Do not ethnicise the concerted efforts to kick bat out in 2027. Doing so plays right into his hands. |

helinues:Stop comparing SW president to Buhari. Buhari has always had cult followership. The SW president does not have such to his name. That North vote is not coming in 2027.The peopwho pulled in 2023 was el rufai. We saw how SW president was begging him in last election to stand with him |

After 2023 I was hoping Tinubu and his team would prove me wrong... I had the expectations that he would assemble a smart team Not only did he not disappoint me he performed worse than I predicted He you right election at least perform see Mbah of Enugu... Yes we all know he didn't win... In 2023 but trust me he would sweep Enugu today Tinubu is a failure n igbos don't need to be told to reject a failure |

gidgiddy:My brother you made some cogent point as if the man prioritised making name for him self with white elephants project to maintaining delapitated roads that is every where in Nigeria! But unfortunately, 5% people are inconsequential when it comes to politics in Nigeria, and their opinions/ wish does not have any impact, so on this note, these writeup does not make sense. |

Effort in futility. Buhari won without SE vote in his two terms. Hence the famous "5 percenter" and "dot in a circle" statements. Tinubu would do same. |

Ibos don't matter in the big scheme of things 🥴 So this grand standing is an effort in futility. The South East is not important |

Factcheck0001:when obi won all those states the governors whr not in labour party. What difference does it make now that some of the governors have moved to apc.I know your bet is for the governors to rig the election. I can tell you Nigerians will defend thr votes in 2027 by all means necessary because they have lost fate in inec and judiciary. That is the whole idea of the coalition coming. Go tell them in your watsup group and SW president |

This is no news.. I know too well that Igbos won't support PBAT in 2027 despite all he is doing for South East. You see all those Uzor Kalu and likes will work against PBAT in their respective States. The already fragile relationship between Yorubas and Igbos will hit the rocks finally in 2027. @OP You can be rest assured that no Igbo man will ever be President of Nigeria.. cos Yorubas will never support such. Two can play the game. |
