aywagze:You call a wild cat a defenseless animal, is like you didn't notice the wild in the sentence, since the wild cat is defenseless to you, you should be locked inside a room with one of it, so you will see how dangerous it can be.... ![]() |

kay29000:Considering the number of chickens and chicks u have, I'm surprised you're not battling with snakes but cats. Is there a chance that the presence of the cats did not stop snakes and rats from festering into your poultry environment? |
| Re: Look At The Cat I Killed In My Poultry Today by Mariangeles(f): 7:19pm On Jun 06, 2025 |
ArsenWinner:As long as the cats mind their damn purpose, and stay away from harmless chickens, they ought to be good. Hausa:What is the point of that if they end up killing and eating all the chickens? |

Hausa:No bush around where I stay in lagos, so no snakes around. By the way, there are rats. But the funny thing is they don't disturb the chickens, at all. I watch them from my room window upstairs sometimes. I know the sound they make when the rats cone around, so I watch them, and the rats just go on their own, not even bugging the chickens and chicks...most times the rats just eat the chicken food and leave. And another funny thing, the cats don't kill the rats...or they don't kill them enough, cos I don't feel there should be rats at all with how ruthless those cats are. |

Attached are some pics of the cat. The chickens gathered around, making loud noises as they watched the lifeless body of the cat that ate their children and siblings and tormented their life for many months.[/quote]This got me laughing 😂 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 |

Mariangeles:You know NOTHING about Domestic Cats Superstition has made typical Nigerians like you believe Cats are demonic, I used to be like you before until my friend adopted one Cats are very cool to have, they are hygienic, keeping a cat inside the house can help you with eradicating pests like cockroaches, wall geckos etc. And they don't mess them self up with Poo and urine, they know where to do their thing if you assign them to it. |

Mariangeles:Why do you think the chickens are more important than the Cat? It seems you don't know how the ecosystem work? Remove cats and rodents will multiply and transmit diseases to you. Go get some education. |

Mariangeles:They are part of the ecosystem (food chain), like someone has jokingly said, rats will have a free day in the poultry. The prey (rat) will enjoy free atmosphere. Lol There's what we called Biological control |
