They prefer to slave away from home in far away country thinking those who decide to stay are unlucky.

That does not mean travelling isn't good but selling my property just to feel among those who japa is crazy.

Poor Ireland!

With the huge wave of migrants washing up shore, it is heavily straining the country.

It has a small population and at the rate migrants are landing, both legal and illegal, the white Irish will soon be a minority in their own country.

Because it is a long established democracy, it can't just whip up an authoritarian system to deal with this large hoard.

Unrestrained immigration has a lot of bad effects...but the main problem is that developing countries are losing their productive populaiton to developed countries.

And then there is culture. I once came across a write up by one Pakistani guy who blames unrestrained immigration from Afghanistan for his country's issues with radicalised islamists...because many of them are from there or were influenced by Afghan radicals.

LIfe in Naija is hard, but countries have the right to regulate immigration, and yes, they will consider those who are useful to them, not every tom dict and marry.

What a disgrace, well it will be harder here but they at least came back with their lives.

No big deal. Will be departing myself later this year. My ticket is ready and I can't wait.

These ones are most probably illegal immigrants cum asylum seekers. Nobody is deporting anyone who's gone for studies. If you have a legal means to stay back in the country you don't need to fear deportation.
