Programmed Home Assistant using YAML for various automation, and created sensors from mqtt stream from SA. Influxdb for database. It also shows live individual power consumption of each devices in the house through smart plugs HA integration and custom auto-entites.

Since we going all in on renewable energy, gas hobs were replaced with ‘real’ induction cooker (max 3000w on highest settings with all 4 burners on, enamel cast iron pots).

Average daily load 30kW (Home Assistant programmed to do load management automatically, with pv forecast, so 3 AC, Induction hob, water heater, microwave , airfryer etc, every device is connected and will never exceed the 6000W rating of the inverter)

100 percent off grid, ie Island mode, no physical connection to grid. The wife is happy, I’m happy.

Wow, this is really impressive! I just came across this while reading through previous threads. Initially, I wanted to get the Solar Assistant for my system as well; I even replied to your post about selling the RBPi 5, but perhaps you missed my comment. After comparing the sensors I can access through Home Assistant via Solarman with what the Solar Assistant offers, I don’t see a significant reason to spend an additional $200 on it. Moreover, it doesn’t even support the Deye battery BMS.

I see you have a unique use case for the solar assistant setup regarding battery communication, especially since you are using two different brands in parallel.

We share a lot in common with our systems. Could you please DM me your WhatsApp number so I can reach out to you? I'm particularly interested in the induction cooker and Home Assistant.

Okay, i use same battery though with a Growatt inverter, looking for a perfect voltage to set it at, as i disconnected communication between battery and inverter. As Growatt charges to 58.4v when communication is used. Though ive been charging at 56.8. I never get power for deye inverter now. Its around 1m.

my old PWM controller (will change it in a month)

I was able to squeeze ₦1m to get them done alongside cables, accessories and workmanship.
