With these two things I will mention now Nigeria will be good again.

1. All our refineries must produce to full capacity so that petroleum products can come down to the reach of average Nigerian.
2. Reform our power sector to enhance constant power supply.

Omo, be as if you guys don't know...by 1990, we were finding it difficult to pay for subsidy. That is why since 1990 until last year, fuel queues were a thing every year.

In 1992, we were warned by the IMF. Remove subsidy, money no dey. We called IMF imperialists, kept on printing money to fund subsidies for decades, kept on borrowing, until we got forgiven in 2005, then borrowed more immediately after, kept on raising prices to reduce subsody costs, kept on pretending

2011 came, GEJ, NOI AND SLS tried again to warn us, na so many people go to OJota and other parts of Nigeria protest, GEJ heard us, and restored subsidy, and the borrow borrow continued

BY 2022, August, it was clear we could borrow no more or print no more,or ways and means our ways out of it. Subsidy was impossible to pay for. Even then tinubu paid some subsidy till 2024, when the end of the road came.

Bring it back, in five years time, we would be where Sri Lanka and Argentina were. Broke and unable to even pay for anything.



Before you call me government agent, I have been on this subsidy thing since the nineties, and I backed subsidy till 2011, when I read up more and saw the light. Nothing for government. Put aside government, PDP, APC, TINUBU, BUHARI, GEJ, PO, AND ATIKY...and consider that if we had done what the Ojota people were suggesting and kept fuel at N65 ...by now we would be paying subsides of nearly N800 per liter today, up from N34 per liter in Dec 2011, and we would be in the kind of debt...like 500 trillion naira...by now. And IMF will pull the plug...then we go know what shege is.

Subsidy no be something like politics...na matter of life and death. It only works if the population is small like 2 million and crude oil production is 1.4 m bpd or more....not for large countries like Nigeria.

1. Fully implement LG AUTONOMY, that will shift focus from the center (Abuja) and make development/politics local.

2. Resource control sharing on 50-50 with States.

Influence the creation of state policing that is controlled by the state judiciary and the legislative assembly.

What type of electricity reforms?
State policing controlled by the state judiciary whose selection and appointment come from the state governor is a recipe for disaster!

In fairness to the president,provision of electricity is now the responsibility of state governors after the modified electricity act!

In my own opinion, two important things i would want the president to implement are
1. Restructuring; Nigeria needs restructuring each state should manage its own resources
2. Our security agencies need total reform

I strongly believe that if the President does these two things, Nigeria will become more secure:


1.) Fully implement State Police & Forest Guards

2.) Electoral reforms to make electronic transmission of polling unit results compulsory and irev a compulsory part of election result collation.

The State Police and/or Forest Guards are long since overdue.
Given the current stage of Nigeria's development, smart Nigerians know that they should be venturing into large scale farming using modern tools and techniques but the incessant killings of farmers by Herdsmen have made the thought of farming a big no no for these people.
I always tell people that these Herdsmen have multi-dimensional sponsors.
1) Some rogue Officers at the top of the Nigerian Military Sponsors them so that they the military can receive money from the FG for fighting Terrorism.
2) Some Politicians Sponsors them to create chaos in favor of the propaganda they're pushing.
3) Some Arab countries sponsors them to carry out their Islam expansionist agenda.
4) The West sponsors them so that they can prevent Nigeria from being food sufficient. How can a nation develop when it cannot even feed itself? This way Nigeria will forever keep dependent on the West.

The only way to stop these Herdsmen at this point is to allow each state Governor implement their state Police with no limit on the arms they are allowed to bear.
If the FG is scared that the State Police might lead to some state deciding to secede, there can be laws implemented to restrict the activities of these state police to rural areas only.
After the establishment of these state Police, Citizens of any State where these Herdsmen still kill farmers can now hold their Governors fully responsible for failing to protect them.

Nigeria can never move forward if people don't feel safe venturing into farming.

The President started on the right trajectory by the removal of the fuel subsidy, the tax reform bill , local government autonomy, state police, regional commissions and all the other numerous policies, this have freed up more funds available for both recurrent and capital expenditures, gone are the days states couldn't meet up with salary wage bills currently they are even up to date on the new minimum wage with most of them carrying out various projects and paying off previous debts.

Two things I wish could happen will be the full implementation of the local government autonomy and state police, with both fully implemented the current pressure on the central government will reduce and people will begin to hold the local government chairmen and state governors more accountable because each of them will eventually become mini-Presidents ending the bulk passing and the blame shifting game.

These are indescribably evil people...making Nigeria better is an objective that goes counter to their purposes which are basically self-aggrandizement and obsessive accumulation of financial and material resources

1. Put every corrupt or puppet politician in prison.
2. Give the money he and his friends/family have looted back to Nigerians in a lasting way that will improve quality of life, and step down.

Solve insecurity.

He should stop squeezing out money from the poor to bribe a few politicians who he believes will keep him in office for another four years of APC shege that we have endured for a decade, thinking that we were going to get better change from the olodo soldier he called expired four years earlier.

The Federal Government says it has no intention to borrow from any local or foreign organisation with its removal of subsidy on petrol and exchange rate harmonisation.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Chief Wale Edun, revealed this at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday in Abuja.

He said that the benefit of the subsidy removal would be ploughed back into various sectors aimed at boosting government revenue and improving the business environment for local and foreign investment.

Edun said that with the increased revenue from subsidy removal, various palliatives have been made available to cushion its effect on a short, medium and long-term basis.

He reiterated the President Bola Tinubu-led administration’s desire to bring back the economy from the wood it has found itself over time.
