Senior pastor of House on the rock church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin was the subject of a trending video in which he appeared to brandish what looked like a gun at a content creator "YL_luxury".

He received a lot of backlash from all quarters and he dropped and official statement saying that he was not holding a gun.

According to his post and I quote

Dear Family,
Trusting that this meets you well, winning and on top of the tests of life.

You might be aware of a video which has been circulating on social media showing me in what some have misunderstood as brandishing a firearm. I want to assure you of this — that, that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone. We understand the concern that this accusation may have caused, and we will speak briefly to this mischief during the 9:00 am service tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

From what he said, he will be addressing this during his service today.

From checks, it appears to be that what he was holding was not a gun but actually a stun torch. This begs a question why he will be holding a stun torch at the said time.

While we await what he will call what he held, lets compare a stun torch to what he was holding.

Well in Nigeria, we need to do all we an to protect and safeguard ourselves, then leave the rest to God

He wasn't holding a gun

His major mistake was rolling down his window to reveal his identity, he should have just ignored the content creator who was taking a video of his car especially since the car had no number plate

Now because of this indiscretion he will spend the next 1 month explaining...

Then he should be bold enough to say what he was holding.

If it wasn’t a firearm, was it an offensive weapon? Yes! What is a pastor doing with that? Aside that there were too many things wrong in the video to show his level of pride and impunity.

Beware of people that give you half-stories to try to play on your intelligence and vindicate themselves, they are fundamentally dishonest people.

It is something he wants to address in church to draw traffic to his church like a content maker? Smh.

If a so called esteemed “Man of God” is carrying an offensive weapon then we the ordinary citizens should be carrying machine guns but I assure you that Nigeria has not gotten to that.

Authorities better move fast to address that negative sensitization by this so-called man of god, before people under his influence that don’t know right from wrong think this negative example is worthy of emulation

The video is as real as can be!

That's a stun torch... He probably doesn't move around with security guards like other top pastors do, so he keeps the torch with him in case he needs to defend himself from any threat. And from the video, the torch did just that. The Youtuber stepped back immediately he saw the stunt torch

Every week these pastors keep stepping in one shit or another. But I see nothing wrong in what he did.
