Disregard the political aspects; the execution of the policy was severely flawed and has caused significant hardship and inflation in Nigeria.

A different administration could remove the subsidy without resulting in similar inflation. This current administration acted without understanding the consequences, implementing the change alongside a floating naira in a country that relies heavily on imports was catastrophic.
