All fingers crossed sha... Fingers!!!!
Disney ain't playing around, they’re delivering back-to-back hits with the Predator and Alien franchises. Killer of Killers was fire, and I’m hyped for Alien: Earth on August 12, Predator: Badlands this November 7 and now we have Alien Romulus in the pipeline.

Whoa, did anybody else notice the reference at the end of Predator: Killer of Killers?
They just tied it to the Prey universe. Solid👍
Everything about this movie is good even the intro

I love the predators code of honor ,they let the Viking live always respect the strong

Untill dawn is a solid 6/10 for me
Alright, this is one unique horror movie with an interesting storyline.
The thrill, the mystery, the jump scare are actually really cool.

Though it's not a very top notch horror but i really do appreciate the storyline and the thrill behind it.

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by OhBritannia(m): 4:13am On Jun 09, 2025
Fear streets! Prom queen is a solid 4/10 for me.

Though not as exceptional and scary like it's previous versions but it's still a new OK version.
I love as they maintained the facts that this is not an A lister movie.
Honestly i wasn't expecting it to be over the top notch.
Just an average high school horror movie.

Straw is a solid 7.5/10 for me.

One of the best and most realistic movies i have seen this year.
Anytime Tyler Perry and Taraji comes together, they make greatness.

I have always said this and i will keep saying it that Taraji is one of the most naturally talented actress i have ever seen, she is just so wonderful especially in playing roles like this.
This movie tells you about the struggle of some single moms in USA and the world in general, it tells you about police brutality on black people in USA, it tells you about how life could change for some people in a moment and above all, it teaches you to be nice with strangers because you don't know what the next person might be going through so it is very very important to be nice.

Sinners is a solid 9.5/10 for me.

Personally for me, this is now my best movie of 2025 for now.
I understand that many people might not agree with me but perhaps how i see this movie, what this movie was trying to portray might be different to me than your how you see the movie.

You saw a vampire movie, i saw a movie telling the public about life, the real hidden dangers of music, i saw a movie given you a revelation about life and especially a warning on the kind of songs you listen to.

When they said that some sounds can conjure and draw spirits, they meant it a 100 percent but perhaps you thought what you heard was just fiction.

When he advised the young boy to not do music and go back home and do gospel songs, he meant it because in this world of hip hop, rap, soul music etc
The more you look, the less you see.

When she called him a fool that life is more spiritual than money and what has been keeping him and his brother safe is not money but her prayers, she was trying to tell the world something.

Like i said what you saw about the movie is different from what i saw.

Havoc is a solid 7/10 for me.

Damm!!! This is what we call gun porn, very brutal, no mercy, so gore.
They really really went gore 100%.
But apart from the amazing gun battles, i do like the realistic storyline about bad cops and gangs and mafia.

Like some percentage of the cops are corrupt and bad and they work hand in hand with corrupt gangs and mafia.

It's a dangerous world we live in.

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by OhBritannia(m): 4:54am On Jun 09, 2025
The Equalizer 3 is a solid 7.5/10 for me.

Personally i love the chilled storyline, a little bit of a slow burner that directs you into understanding the movie the more, i like how they focused on dialogues especially before the violence started.
In a way this part 3 reminded me of John wick but opposite storyline.

Storyline 10/10
Violence 8/10
Thrill 7/10

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by OhBritannia(m): 5:07am On Jun 09, 2025
Mission impossible. Fallout, rogue nation, dead reckoning are all solid 8/10 for me.

While awaiting the final part of mission impossible, i had to go back to re-watch the last three installment again just to refresh my memory and Damm, they are all epic.
Tom cruise never fails and honestly i am glad that all of the projects are all hits.

This kind of reminds me of pierce Brosnam's James bond movies with the technology and all that stunts.
Though i will miss Ferguson though, she adds spark to the instalments.

Hopefully the final mission impossible doesn't disappoints.

I think Alien-Predator franchise is their new cash-cow much like the Marvel franchise...

While I agree it's a good movie,
"Realistic" is not the term I would use to describe this movie...

Straw (2025)

Clichéd, illogical, nonsensical...

I bought into the hype this movie has been getting over the past few days, and after seeing it, I just wish I hadn’t.

The writing was atrocious, even a pre-KG kid wouldn’t believe what they showed. Nothing made sense. They didn’t even put in the effort to make anything remotely believable. The dialogue was so amateurish, it felt like the actors met on set for the first time and just started winging it, blurting out anything with little care for coherence.

The casting choice was mediocre. Apart from Taraji P. Henson, the rest of the cast weren’t pulling their weight. It felt like they expected her to carry the whole film , but instead, they dragged her into mediocrity with them. There's a reason Teyana Taylor is better known for her singing than her acting , she had no business being in this, let alone being a co-lead. Her portrayal of Detective Raymond was so abysmal; her amateurish behind wasn’t detecting sht*. 😩

There was one scene where the Chief of Police asked her how she knew Taraji’s character wasn’t involved in the grocery store robbery. Instead of presenting logical proof or security footage, this heifer said, "I have a feeling." 😭

Now, I totally get the story they were trying to tell and I was actually invested in the emotional weight of it all. Like... man, poverty is a disease; it can destroy the mind 😔. But like most of Tyler Perry's films, the execution was just too flat for me to take the movie seriously. He's still chasing sensationalism instead of logic. He can tell nuanced stories about Black people in a way that leaves a lasting impression, but instead, he keeps recycling old formulas.

And maybe Taraji P. Henson needs to stop picking up his calls...

A very special... special 4/10. 💥
