This Opay facial Verification is annoying and embarrassing because it could happen in on the road, at the market etc.

It could happen even with small amounts because I have experienced it before.

Does Palmpay do this random verification too?

What exactly causes it?

When making payments to a new account it can request for face verification to be sure if you're the one making the payment.

I don't think it's annoying, it's for your own good as they are protecting your account

I give them their flowers 💐,they have really shown what online banking is all about

We all should be glad we have this in this country. It's called liveness check and Opay is trying their best in your own interest to protect not just your funds, but your information you have with them from being exposed and all you could come up with are excuses and complaints.

Why not go back to UBA, Zenith, Ecobank and the rest of the native banks where you queue everyday to rectify lost or stolen funds.

Opay is the best thing that happened to an average banking Nigerian, even though they (native banks) are working tirelessly to bring them to their knees.

Appreciate enhanced security and support banks their staff won't steal or remove money from your account claiming you are dead.🙏

Opay is GOOD.

They've never asked me for verification.

They usually ask for facial recognition if u have sent money more than usual that very day or u are sending a huge amount of money out at once.. to me it's for our own good..

I prefer Opay more than any bank at the moment

It's for extra security measures, especially when sending higher amounts. It's annoying and embarrassing sometimes though

I did a trf of 1m from the opay to my uncle without the verification, next time I was going to do about 200k and it started asking me to turn left n right, in public o, was buying drinks for my in-law's wedding. Meanwhile when I dey house want do 1m, e no ask me for verification , e be like say na when e go embarrass you pass e dey find

I agree with some of your points but how exactly are commercial (not native pls) banks working tirelessly to bring opay to their knees?

When you start having huge inflow that's when uou will know the random verification is a way to ensure the protection of finances

kudos to opay for this. Simple tasks u can do online ,the likes of GTB etc go frustrate ur destiny after filing form.They won't even return yo 107 N charge.Your money is safe with opay jare
