This particular banana is not sweet . And does not command good price in the market because it easily spoils ... It's called Acha Ere ... Meaning ripe and spoil . It's demanded by diabetics people

The buyer is not the final consumer na. She will divide it and sell it by pieces through hawking.

The Max I can pay for this is 15k because it will shrink when it's ripe.
The issue is not even that they'll shrink (which they will not), but that they'll ripen almost all at once.

It's always advisable to buy banana only when it's ripe.
Why?

Okay. Unless so.

She's probably checked it, and knew she'll make profit from it.

Some ladies even buy the banana far more than N25,500...........I have seen where a lady bought one banana for a whooping N150k......Very Curvy Hard but ripe.......for a lady to buy banana at that price, be rest assure that banana must be a very sweet one.

Truely, nothing beat the sweetness of that kinda Banana.....

Banana or plantain swell a little when ripe and not shrink. Same apply to virtually all fruits.

25k is a good buy considering the portion retailers are selling for 1k or above.

You're very correct but most bananas we consume are the seedless commercial bananas. They are the result of selective breeding over many generations and has got nothing to do with GMO in that sense. Meaning they are not typically engineered with genes from other species.
