Desist From Making Reckless Statement On TV – Onanuga Blasts Ndume by ogododo(op): 8:38am On Jun 10, 2025
The Presidency has issued a stern warning to the lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District, Mohammed Ali Ndume, against what it described as reckless statement on television.

According to the presidency, such unguarded utterances made Senator Ndume, a former Senate Chief Whip not to command the respect of any right thinking person.

The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, while reacting to the allegations that a cabal has hijacked Tinubu’s government and that kleptocrats and kakistocrats dominate the administration, accused Ndume of making a sweeping statement without providing any scintilla of proof.

Ndume is entitled to his opinion, as a lone-wolf opposition within the APC, though he most often gets his facts wrong or builds his thesis on a specious, faulty foundation.

“Like he lied about General Buratai being ambushed by terrorists. A ranking Senator making reckless statement on TV cannot command the respect of any right thinking person.

“His allegation that kleptocrats and kakistocrats dominate the government is just too sweeping. And he made it without providing any scintilla of proof.

Kakistocrats? Does he know the word’s meaning, or does he just like bandying terms?

“This President has many competent aides, many of whom were accomplished professionals before coming to work for the government.

“And they are doing a damn good job, reengineering the country’s economy to ensure it is put on a solid foundation for sustainable growth,” Onanuga said.

Instead of silencing lawmakers like Senator Ndume, who are voicing legitimate concerns, the presidency should focus on governing the country with integrity, transparency, and accountability. Leadership isn’t about suppressing criticism, it’s about rising above it and delivering results.

It’s deeply ironic that the same presidency which couldn’t tolerate criticism now that they are in power was once relentless in attacking the Goodluck Jonathan administration when they were in the opposition.

Back then, they enjoyed the freedom to speak, protest, and even spread propaganda unchecked. But now, any dissent or honest opinion is labeled as “reckless.” What happened to freedom of expression?

Presidency should leave Ndume alone
How come they are always triggered by the man
Same Onanuga who made multiple posts he's had to pull down is accusing someone else of making false statements?

Onanuga should go and sit down with his old age, the days Ndume has been saying good things about APC and Tinubu, did he caution him to stop it? No that he has been saying the bitter truth, he has become bad person...

Old age don dey worry onanuga, go and ask Lier Muhammadu

Ndume should be sack from the Senate,a ranking sin_nator as Ali can't continue downgrading the Senate and the presidency, which he always coming back to apologize now and then. Even in a country like US,he wouldn't have been shown the way out or make to face prosecution.

Rubbish talk of ndume is too much, most annoying thing is that after few days he Appologise again. The apc should have expelled him from the party a long time. The same ndume of Boko Haram Now parading himself like a righteous person. Nonsense

E be like say you be product of Peter Obi's miracle centre. If not, how else would you call deliberate lies as legitimate concerns. Tukur Buratai debunked the lies of Ndume yet you are still supporting Ndume just because you are still in pains about Obi's loss at the last elections

See how they've deliberately twisted what Ndume said about buratai. Buratai town was actually attacked by boko haram and everyone knows that. The video clip of the channels tv is online. Only mischievous, stupid people will say ndume meant General Buratai that was attacked and not buratai town, his namesake home town.
