Additionally, high import dependence, speculative demand, and limited foreign direct investment exacerbate pressure on the naira, driving depreciation. To strengthen the naira, Nigeria could diversify its economy by boosting non-oil sectors like agriculture and manufacturing to increase foreign exchange earnings and reduce import dependency. Additionally, implementing tighter monetary policies, attracting foreign investment, and improving oil production efficiency would stabilize reserves and reduce speculative pressure on the currency.
