Wike has significantly undermined the party, all in the name of his personal feud with Atiku. His actions have caused deep divisions, and it’s evident that his approach is driven more by personal ambition than party unity. He may believe he has found favor with the APC, but with this kind of conduct, it’s hard to see how he can be genuinely trusted again. Time and again, he has shown that if he can't get what he wants, he’s willing to bring everything down with him.

One APC Politican from the SW , who is a reps member, once said that his phone rings almost every minute with people from his constituency calling to ask for money...because they think that he has far more money than he actually has. (yes, even with looting taken into account).

If your party is not in power, you won't have much access to 'spoils' . And you will lose support. And that can end your political career.

Note that Buhari and Tinubu were both in opposition for years, because they both had the finances to keep their support. And in Buhari's case , he had a large base of millions of voters who treated him as a near deity. There were buhari stickers on buses in the North even when ABACHA was in power.

But if you are a regular politican,....no such luck

People in Nigeria no dey do politics of ideology...the way they do it in your colonial master UK. If I was british, I probably would be Liberal Democrat...which always loses, but which comes close somewhat to some of my values. But as a brit, my stomach no go dey empty (yes people die of starvation in the UK, but those are rare, and they are usually people, as in one case, who are too proud to ask for help). A Nigerian....can't do that. Even me that says I vote for NCP and now for any of the smaller political parties, whose ideas are close enough to mine.....the average Nigerian will laugh at me and say I don eat belefull.


I spend time shouting for taxes and industrialization...because both would have the effect of putting people to think beyond their immediate needs...and start asking government questions. But as Sowell, the American economist said...most Nigerians have short term thinking. And that short term thinking is what prevents people from doing oppositon politics. We need our daily bread.

The rate at which he's quietly 🤫 commissioning strategic projects is satisfying.
He recently approved another 17 new ones(projects) and work is going on at a very fast pace.
What he has done ✔️ in 2 years, Simon lalong didn't do in 8 years.
I mean everything I said.
The legacy projects which are a signature white elephant projects, where abandoned by lalong himself after spending about 38 billion naira without something to show for it.
Lalong really messed up the state in his second tenure.
This man(mutfwang) came and started with construction and palliative of township roads and fixed all abandoned and new strategic road networks and slowly going into the villages.
Now the LGCs are now having their share of construction of rural roads at a massive level.
At the rate at which he's going,any candidate present by the APC will lose the election before 10 AM.

All these projects are now possible because the state are getting three times more allocation from federation Account because of the Fuel Subsidy removal and Forex Unification.

Many forget so soon, up till 2yrs ago, from 2010/2011, many states were practically bankrupt.. They could not pay salaries, much less embark on capital projects, pensioners were not even paid a dime for years. Because there was simply no money coming to share and these states couldn't generate reasonable revenue internally.

Even though the masses are suffering as a consequence of these Fuel subsidy and floating of naira, the governors have been the major beneficiaries.

So, many of them are defecting because they know that joining the ruling party will get them closer to Aso Rock.

The truth may be bitter, many who do not want them to defect will still complain if they do not construct roads, hospitals, and so on.

It is like a wife, who is complaining that her husband work too much and doesn't give much time for the family, if the man stays at home and give her the 24hrs, she will complain he is not giving her enough money again, and you need the same time she wants to make the money she also wants.

Until you become a governor, you may never know what you can do.

Too many moral police on social media, they know and judge everyone else but themselves.

Weak Jonathan is not Jagaban. Inec may not bother to conduct 2027 election cos I see APC having 30 governors and at least 90 senators and 300 house of rep members. I have never seen this kind of political tsunami before. Asiwaju for a reason. I know fills will get better than the current situation cos his reforms are seeing the light of the day, thou I don't expect frustrated bitter members to accept and that is thier headache. I doff my hat for presido. Core northerners dunn jam a political guru. They always think they can decide every political movement. Tinubu has divided them. You hardly fail when you're prepared. He understood the north and took them by surprise, helrufai is now as quite as a sleeping baby; tootles. Atiku has been rejected by both the north and the south, Obi has no platform;no hope for him so that is left for them now is the one party yen yen yen.
