Sinners (2025) – 7/10. Wildly overhyped. It started strong but nose-dived halfway through. Great concept, but completely botched in execution. Their biggest mistake? Trying to cram a mini-series-worthy idea into a single rushed film. This story begged for 4–5 one-hour episodes. That would've given it room to breathe - to build, unfold, and actually make sense. Instead, we got a shallow sprint that tripped over its own ambition. You can tell they never expected the film to blow up - the director clearly doesn’t dream big. With the right pacing and vision, this could’ve been a genre-defining masterpiece. Instead, It’s just a wasted opportunity dressed in good marketing. 6 Likes |

oyaskii:It is a good movie because it achieved what it set out to achieve. I didn't call it a masterpiece. I didn't call it great. It has many very noticeable flaws but the movie was able to evoke emotion amongst its viewers and portray the struggles of a black single-mom in America...albeit in an over-the-top manner... Realism is subjective when it comes to movies... There is a certain level of suspension of belief depending on the movie... While most of the movie is grounded, it is also clear that some things were made unrealistic for dramatic effect...and this was made clear from the onset not late in the movie... From the overly evil/inhumane nature of many characters to the coincidence of so many things going wrong on the same day... As a result, I was able to somewhat suspend my belief when the police and FBI acted irrationally from their first appearance, when the crowd suddenly showed up to support an insane woman because they "identified with her struggle" and when many characters kept misinterpreting various things like the toy project being a bomb... There are many flaws in the movie but I'll still give it a rating on the positive side because it achieved what it set out to achieve... 1 Like |

Be My Slave (2012) Beware: this movie has a whole lot of nudity... A weird BDSM japanese movie. People with this kînk might like this... It's far different from 50 Shades of Grey since 50 shades is more of a female wish fantasy of a rich handsome billionaire rather than an exploration into BDSM and the mind of individuals in it... 1 Like

Be My Master (2018) Part 2 of Be My Slave. Another BDSM story with completely different characters... The Japanese seem to have an obsession with cheating. Edit: I searched to the ends of the internet and I couldn't find very good subtitles for this movie. It's like only one subtitle exists on the internet and it's not good But I was able to mostly understand it even without good subs 1 Like

Tyler perry straw 3/10 Before someone will say I always want to sound different but many of us know this movie has a lot of unrealistic scenes, the only good thing about this movie is Taraji. The script, all the characters except Taraji is bad and lack of common sense The thing way vex me pass is…….she said she needed $40 and there is alot of money in the table which cover her salary too and she didn’t take any and go to a bank to cash out money |

DieRich5:don't forget she's going to be taken to court after the whole brouhaha.. envidence like that might vindicate her situation, heck might be released on bail or given a really short jail time ... If she took the whole money, then how would defend herself from not being part of the mastermind of the robbery in which her boss has already told the police .. Same thing applies to when she was in the bank... It wasn't about unrealistic but being smart .. You got caught up in a robbery , then you're being accused of being the mastermind and you went on to take the whole Cash.. if you eventually get caught and charged to court, how do you defend yourself from not being involved in the robbery... 1 Like |

DeeScan:You missed the whole part, where she shot her boss at point blank range? That's a solid 1st degree murder charge right there, and that carries 25 to life or a death sentence even, from the time she entered the boss's office to collect her paycheck to the time she entered the bank to cash that paycheck, no decision she made had any semblance of logic in it. You go to cash a check, and they asked for an ID, and you pull up a gun, and say "please you know me, just cash it for me whilst waving a gun in a public space? 😩😩😩. The writing of the movie leaned heavily on emotions, to espunge her of any wrong doings, and clearly it worked, she's was been hailed as a some kind of saint, when she committed like 2 to 3 crimes in that run, that could see her locked up for a very long time, because in the real world, the law doesn't judge with emotions, it judges with fact and logic. The only thing that could save her, was the reveal of her mental state at the end, she can plead insanity. |
