See ordinary train station looking like an airport terminal.

The AC inside that place can freeze you.

The way Nigerians lambast their country on twitter and all these places, you would never believe they have this kind of infrastructure. undecided

This is inside that cubicle from above ^^

Here you can chill and have a snack or a beer, or play snooker while you wait for your train.

I repeat: This is not America or London or all these places. This is Nigeria.

I guess Lagos or Abuja.
We are progressing.
It's just that no amount of progress without uninterrupted electricity is still not good enough.
Is been a week now no electricity here in lambaba mpape and entire mpape.
It's just not nice

On Tinubu's recent visit to Anambra, he promised that he would handle the Eastern Rail. That they should leave it to him.

Tinubu will sort it out because the East is a vital part of Nigeria, and Tinubu is a nationalist.

No region will be left out of Nigeria's rise to the top. wink

When will you people get tired of this 'maintenance' stuff?

Nigeria has moved on.

Projects now are PPP (Public Private Partnership), meaning shareholders and corporate entities are involved.

In such arrangements there is Never a 'maintenance' issue.

These trains and stations have been up and running for years now. They are still looking new and sharp.

Go there and you will see staff and cleaning crews, engineering crews everywhere. In uniforms. Disciplined.

Nothing like 'no maintenance culture' in today's Nigeria.

It looks a bit okay, but what will be the fate of this project in 10 to 20 years from today? Abandoned, dilapidated and going into extinct because of zero maintenance culture.

Another issue that needs to be addressed is the insecurity and the light outages.

Finally, how affordable are they compared to regular bus transport; I hope its affordable for the poor and not meant for a certain class of Nigerians?

But still, Nigeria need more intracity and intercity rail connections to reduce weat and tear on our roads and to reduce city traffic in cities like Lagos, so it's a welcomed development, kudos to them, it's a good start.

Stop talking rubbish.

Go and study how projects are done these days.

They are no longer just government-run projects. The private sector is heavily involved, and maintenance agreements are part and parcel of the package.

I think lagos is getting it right in the transportation aspect the railway way precisely, I've never read anywhere in the last five years that a train break down somewhere or is having one issue or the other,

They have been improving on their previous progress, Abuja, if not for terriost attack some years back by now they should be on same level with lagos. Delta has been doing fantastic in the rail sector then it use to be three times a week but now it's six time a week with Thursday as a day for maintenance.

I hope other state can be connected
