In yet another embarrassing chapter of performative politics, Reno Omokri one of President Bola Tinubu’s loudest online cheerleaders has again shown that loyalty to power can often come at the expense of truth. Days ago, Omokri boldly claimed to have taken photos from the 30km mark of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project. The problem? The highway hasn’t reached anywhere close to 30km something even the contractors have confirmed.

Reno backed by Tinubu who has plenty of money 'selected' some brown envelope journalists for the jamboree they partook, without any shred of convincible evidence to back up that the road is up to 20 km. Reno said he'll take a picture at the 30km mark. Instead what we started seeing is 20km here, 7.5km there and another 2.5km up there.
