President Tinubu Commissions New Link Roads In Abuja Expanding Urban Network by shrinkchido(op): 1:40pm On Jun 11, 2025
In a bold move to improve connectivity across Nigeria’s capital, the Maitama-Gishiri Bridge and the Katampe–Jahi–Mabushi Link Roads have officially been commissioned in June 2025. The infrastructure project, which commenced in October 2024, was executed under a renewed vision for the Federal Capital Territory, a testament to efficient urban planning and delivery.

Designed to decongest key traffic corridors and boost inter-district mobility, the network of roads and the strategic bridge now seamlessly connect some of Abuja’s fastest-growing residential and commercial zones.

From inception to delivery in under a year, this is infrastructure with intent, that’s capacity in action.

This government already has a bad name.

To correct it may need a decade of constant positive impression.

Kudos to Wike, Mr Projects

But I think the president can do better, commissioning of roads should be the least of his assignments. We have pressing issues for crying out loud.

Clap for Otti, what a new Nigeria phenomena. We saw him commission less than 10km roadS in total yesterday. The beautiful thing is that we only saw videos and pictures of him and his children. We didn't see the roads but we walk by faith. We are so glad.

Are you trying to tell us that hunger is dealing with you?

Let me ask you, how many members of your family or household, your neighbours, your coworkers, your church members or those in your neighbourhood are in living in hunger?

And is there any time in history of humankind that we don’t have hungry people among us? Even in the days of the Bible.

Every government commissions roads, bridges and all that. The problem with this government is propaganda and gaslighting.

They build a road or bridge, and go to the media to say they have built a new state. Imagine renovating international conference center built by another government, and renaming it to yourself

We applaud road constructions, but this is the worst government In Nigeria's history and no amount of propaganda will save them
