dederocs:Chill. You think it's Molue. You don't understand. So, don't nose what's beyond you. Air travellers understand. Not Molue users like you. Air peace is in business, not charity organization. Therefore, they should react to unwholesome behavior that tends to disrupt their business. |

Ashirioluwa:Don’t mind the irresponsible Senator and leader. That was an absolute show of shame. But trust Nigerian politicians never to be ashamed of their deeds. And to think that this man was a labour leader makes his case worse. Airpeace staff were overheard screaming at him. That showed that he totally lost respect. His tout behavior at the airport cost his respect. His mates charter private aircrafts in such situations. He could have chartered one or link with others to use a private aircraft immediately. If he missed his flight in an Arab nation or Asian nation, would he have tried the rubbish, not to talk of Europe and USA. When he’s traveling to those countries, does he get to the airport late? Of course he knows the result. |

Truvelisback:Air peace is a public service company, they should know how to manage their customers not bringing every issue online for public sentiments. If they are not ready to deal with passengers, tantrums and complaint then they should leave the business. |

Counter View: When Policy Lacks Compassion, It Breeds Frustration While Air Peace has issued a strong statement condemning the conduct of a prominent Nigerian politician at the Lagos airport, it is equally important to reflect on the part the airline’s policies and customer service may have played in escalating the situation. Yes, flight schedules are important, and timely departures are necessary. But what happens when a passenger — prominent or not — arrives barely 20 minutes before departure and is denied boarding without any flexibility or empathy? In many parts of the world, airlines make room for discretion in such borderline cases, especially when passengers are within the terminal and flights have not yet physically left the gate. Air Peace’s zero-tolerance policy for aggression is commendable — no one supports violence or disorderly behavior. However, zero tolerance should not become a shield for zero accountability. If a high-profile figure like Senator Oshiomhole can be caught in such a frustrating situation, it begs the question: how often do ordinary Nigerians suffer silently under rigid procedures and impersonal treatment? Rather than doubling down on bureaucracy, Air Peace should also address the core issue: customer experience. Was there proper communication before the gate closed? Were staff trained to manage such situations with professionalism and empathy? Was the customer — like many others — treated with dignity in that critical moment of distress? This incident is not just about a politician’s behavior. It is a wake-up call for Nigerian aviation operators to reassess how they balance operational efficiency with humane service. Air Peace may have followed procedure, but it failed in perception and empathy — and in aviation, those count too. No passenger should be above the rules, but no airline should be above accountability. |

Counter-View: Air Peace’s Statement on Lagos Airport Incident Raises More Questions Than Answers While Air Peace’s condemnation of violence and unruly conduct is commendable in principle, the airline’s one-sided account of the June 11 incident at Lagos Airport demands scrutiny. The statement portrays the politician as the sole aggressor, but critical details are conspicuously absent, leaving room for skepticism about the airline’s operational integrity and customer service standards. 1. Was the Flight Truly "On Time"? Air Peace claims the politician arrived at 06:10 AM for a 06:30 AM departure, with boarding already closed. However, industry standards typically require boarding to remain open until at least 10–15 minutes before departure, especially for domestic flights. Questions arise: Was the boarding process abruptly closed earlier than advertised? Were there prior delays or communication lapses that contributed to the passenger’s frustration? Why was the politician not accommodated on the next available flight, if the delay was minimal? Without clarifying these points, Air Peace’s assertion of "strict timelines" risks appearing as rigid customer service failure rather than operational discipline. 2. Proportionality of Response While violence against staff is indefensible, the airline’s decision to publicly shame a "prominent politician" without due process or evidence (e.g., CCTV footage, independent witnesses) is equally troubling. If the individual indeed "sealed the gate," how did one person overpower airport security? Lagos Airport is a high-security zone; such claims strain credulity without corroboration. Air Peace’s haste to label the incident as "unruly conduct" while omitting any context (e.g., whether the passenger was provoked or misinformed) suggests a deliberate effort to control the narrative rather than address systemic issues. 3. Contingency Plan or Cover-Up? The airline boasts of an "operational contingency plan" to reroute passengers, but this raises further questions: If contingency measures were so easily activated, why were they not deployed before the situation escalated? How many passengers were affected, and what compensation was offered for the inconvenience? Airlines globally prioritize de-escalation and customer care in such scenarios. Air Peace’s focus on punitive rhetoric—rather than accountability or reconciliation—reflects poorly on its commitment to service. 4. Selective Zero-Tolerance Policy Air Peace’s "zero-tolerance" stance is laudable, but is it applied uniformly? Past incidents involving VIPs (e.g., delayed flights for government officials) suggest flexibility for the powerful. Why the sudden rigidity here? The public deserves transparency on whether this is consistent policy or selective enforcement. Conclusion: Demand for Transparency Air Peace’s statement reads like damage control, not accountability. To restore trust, the airline should: Release CCTV footage of the incident. Disclose its boarding timeline policies and deviations (if any). Explain why mediation wasn’t attempted before escalation. Passengers deserve airlines that balance punctuality with empathy. Until Air Peace addresses these gaps, its moral high ground remains questionable. |

wink2015:Exactly, business is not only about the soft side of making profits, dealing with customers properly with good customer service is key. Their staff are not properly train to handle the hassles of airline operation. We have over a hundred airline companies, but everyday it's airpeace controversy. |
