There is Dignity in Labour here in Nigeria too, but our social perceptions, which include looking down on people, greed and bigotry, have eroded our dignity in Labour |

This is exactly the reason I stopped relating with some naija folks who looked down on others willing to get their hands dirty as a stepping stone to their greatness. It was so exhausting making it make sense. Sometimes, you need to do what you gave to do to get there.....there is dignity in labour! |

SatoshiX:More like... All thanks to Japa without adequate planning and economic forecast. Anyone thinking of relocating ought to first check the labor market in those nations... Find out what skills are needed for certain jobs, and obtain them (this can be easily done online). You can't be equipped with skills like Web design, SQL and Big Data query, Tableau, etc, and end up pushing wheelbarrow or serving tables... Nope!!! You will even apply and get jobs before buying your tickets. Simple facts!!! Most Nigerians travel without adequate preparation for life in a foreign land. |

This is what I was telling some people few years back on this forum. When they are making fun of people leaving big position to do menial job in UK, US and Canada. You guys are only hearing the beginning of the story, It does not end in menial job. If one is committed and have a vision of where he is going. It may take time. He/she will get there. There are boundless opportunities. You just need to be determine and put serious efforts to grab it. |

THIS IS THE POINT OF HIS STORY According to him My point is: there is dignity in all honest labour, including ‘barrow-pushing’ and other menial jobs. The problem is that the Nigerian 🇳🇬 society is caught up in aesthetics because some jobs may not ‘look dignifying’. -But u go see who never earn 200k a month in Nigeria dey laugh at who dey do care job and security for UK -The other day, people wey dey struggle to buy fuel for their i-better-pass-my-neighbour generator were laughing at one actor and doctor, who work as a butchers in US So to the team of mockers, its okay that you enjoy laughing at people in the menial job phase of their journey to bliss, hopefully you stay alive long enough to witness the glory days...its usually not far, if Tinubu and APC never kill u sha |

Just look at what men go through in UK and one stupid woman will come and frustrate man after striving hard to succeed. Never invite your woman to join u abroad. I pray this man doesn't regret it. |

Apcshit:He didnt say he pushed barrow, the poster of the news used that as clickbait. Here is what he said about barrow, ‘Dignifying’ regarding job is relative. The barrow-pushers may find some Care workers who clean up the faeces of service users as doing ‘undignified work’. Where do we draw the line? |

Eriokanmi:Back when apc was not in power , doctors were japa. Even under GEJ. The truth is the people you want us to vote for have no answer to the problems you are talking about. Just like apc. But my experience shows me that neither you or apc want real solutions, like taxes, removal of subsides , actually fighting all corruption, and pathway to an industrial economy. |
