A burial can cost as much as 3m upwards. To what end Commiting someone to the earth to serve as maggot food.

Instead, check for someone within that family that needs help like sponsorship for education or business and set them up.

The dead should only feel cheated if not everyone gets to die.

I'm not saying they should be thrown away. Shroud them up, put them in a casket (even the thought of being put in a casket is not appealing to me) and dig 6feet.

Lay them down, say final prayers and disperse the mourning crowd. Anyone the decides to stay and comforts the family does that as a sympathizer not because they must be given rice.
If I choose to give you rice, it should be because I feel you need it and not because someone has been buried. Someone who might have actually died of hunger.

Oga rich educated igbo man like this would have trained his kids to the highest levels of education in the best universities around the world. Even if they are in naija working in the thriving family business omo they can easily buy such car.
4 years ago my siblings and I contributed and bought a brand new hyundai suv for our mama on her 70th. We planned getting a senior machine for dad on his 80th 2026 but he did not make it.
