Pastors/churches are not the reasons many people are poor but Nigeria itself. Nigerians in UK, US, and other developed countries rarely go to church because the system is built in such a way that you can only prosper or live well by engaging in something productive.

Nigeria is not a country that rewarded hard labour or dignity in labour, hence people believes in hope and miracle to make it big in life. Religions Con men wouldn't have had it so easy to deceive people if the country take care of the welfare of her citizens like sane countries do.

Things has gone beyond redemption in Nigeria, and it's obvious we can't build a good society to live in.

You can play 4 musical instruments and you claimed church added nothing to you. Most successful musicians today (secular and gospel) learnt mostly from church. It's up to individuals to balance it.

nothing bad going to church for prayers and deliverance, but been lazy and not doing anything is what God is angry with. It's never ideal seeking for God's favour and not been self-employed or employed by government. You have to do something for God to bless you and the works of your hands.

When your pastor keeps telling you that prayer is the key and giving example of someone that prayed and God blessed them,or they donated everything that they had to God and God blessed them without proof, eventually your mind will give up and

Well, the truth is... Religion, not just church, has always been an instrument for manipulating the weak and to keep the poor subservient.

He is not saying any truth, so playing four musical instruments is not a skill? The fact that you can't monetize your skills does not invalidate them.

Beyonce, R.Kelly, Moses Bliss, Frank Edward, Fela Durotoye, etc are products of the Church. To master how to stand and speak in front of crowd is a skill.

A lot of people don't know how to monetize their skills and turn around to blame others. Churches now have huge free skill acquisition programs everywhere.

A church is a place where you go to hear the word of God, fellowship with other worshippers and also carry out your spiritual stewardship if you are led to do that.
