Obi naturally might be a good man with good intentions, but Obi would never make a good president. Being president in Nigeria requires a bit of madness, the kind of Wike’s madness for things to work not the mumu gentle gentle Obi is going around doing as though he his contesting for UK prime minister😂 |

This is why you have an actual accountant running the economy. This person that actually turned 50 million revenue to 60billion instead of someone that claimed to study market to market economy. (Whatever that means) But increased poverty in anambra. His only achievement is saving imaginary money and beeg company, so that his minions can drink and forget their problems. |

Was there no gradual fading out of fuel subsidy during Obasanjo/Jonathon time. Devaluation and floating the Naira is what has led us here. 2 years, economy never bounce back! 4 years it will still be same story. The most painful part is that we no see effect of the floating. The subsidy was taken from the people to the politicians. Either fuel or naira floating. The two favor that elites alone. I am now confused if Nigeria is a communist state, capitalist or socialist. Nigerians currently doesn’t benefit from the country! This wasn’t the founding fathers intention. |

You don’t even need to be an expert to know this. When Obasanjo became the president, he started a gradual removal of subsidy but by the time he was leaving, the subsidy amount was more than what he met. Yaradua, Jonathan and Buhari also did the same thing. Most people don’t know that the serial pms price increments were basically an attempt to gradually remove subsidy. They all failed. Judging from experience, it’s obvious a gradual removal can’t work. Do it at once and face the consequences. That is what Tinubu did. Now, we’ve all adjusted. Everyone now knows market will determine the price and nothing else. |

Obi is economically limited. He said he'd do it in an organized manner by ramping up production of agriculture, manufacturing and everything. Actually, the first thing is to tackle insecurity and modernize agricultural approaches. There was a time food went to waste in Benue due to lack of storage facilities. Also, smooth road network and rail are needed to move food from production belts to consumption areas. For now, cargo airports for agro-produce ought to be the in-thing. On the issue of manufacturing, let Obi explain what he expects Nigeria to manufacture. He can't be throwing words around like a school boy. He needs to show maturity in his thinking. |

Rotus is wrong here. Floating the currency in a knee jerk manner did not pay the fx backlog neither did it increase fx inflow Nigeria had to borrow and issue bonds to get fx into the system. Worse still, our currency became the worst performing in Africa due to the policy and is still at an abysmal 1500/ $1 rate with attendant inflationary pressures. Floating the naira was a bad idea. Even CBN had to later come out to deny floating the naira |

SarkinYarki:Of course it is working. You just don't have the intellect to appreciate the results targeted and achievements gained already. All your time is spent looking for ways to denigrate Tinubu and all his reforms. Floating the Naira simply showed the real value and worth of our currency without subsidy. Same as a woman with a huge tummy can look like figure 8 when wearing a girdle. Of course minus the girdle, na another story. Floating the Naira presents it's true worth , as a repository of monetary value, against other currencies meaning we get to confront the fact we have a currency of poor value because we have a very poor economy. We can/must then committ to working from the ground up to build our economy, through diversifying it away from reliance alone on oil as an example, to improve it which will then consequently and automatically strenghten the Naira organically. The better our economy, the greater the strenght of the Naira which is what we want and need as a nation. It is how the best economies of the world gained strong and optimally convertible currency while we want to fake it as we also faked education subsidising it to be cheap, thus removing the quality component, only for us to be condemned to producing "graduate" civil Engineers who can never handle projects like third mainland or even the link roads commission by Wike and Tinubu today in Abuja. All.this brings us back to the woman wearing the girdle. Is it not best, for her own health, confidence and optimal fitness she gets rid of the girdle and gain a genuinely flat stomach through diet and exercise routine rather than using deception to fake the stomach and figure she truly desired? Sure dieting and exercising will be hard work, as Naira floatation is for Nigeria and Nigerians is also, but the girdle has to go and the sacrifice and hard work to gain a flat stomach must begin. There is no way to remove the girdle gradually same as there is no to float the Naira gradually as the untelligent petty trader masquerading as a leader, I.e Obi, is foolishly suggesting. He really should learn to remain silent. |
