Finally received my LP package today, since April that i placed the order 😪

And it has been in the post office since, basterds no put phone number on the package so the post office people couldn't even call me. They just decided to come straight to the address today and hand it to me.

I bought an item through AliExpress worth about $5.50 but the item was delivered defective. I opened a dispute and sent pictures and videos evidences to show it was defective. The dispute was resolved and the money is going to be refunded to me fully.

However, I was required to return the item to the post office. I took it to the post office and they declined to accept it, I also took it to sdeedaf (it was delivered via speedaf). they also declined to return it.

My dilemma is what do I do since my money will be returned to me and I have no intention of keeping the item.

Not your fault item arrived defective.

I never return defective item. Because if you do, you'd pay more than $20 to do that.

Accept your refund and buy from another seller.

You went for "return & refund" in the dispute options, hence, the reason you're mandated to return the item before you could be refunded. Next time, choose "refund only".

Note, however, that unless the item gets back to China and is confirmed so by seller, your refund won't be issued by Aliexpress .

It's been very difficult ordering lithium or Lifepo4 battery from AE. Pls how long have you ordered it and is the price fair enough. Can you share the store where you ordered from?

I've used Temu many times and I always got my order delivered within two weeks, my order has been stuck at "customs clearance started" for 7 days now, courier is SPEEDAF, called and they said order has yet to arrive their warehouse, e be like say na on top this one me and AliExpress go take breakup.

I went straight to dispute

I took pictures and made a video of the defective item and uploaded to AliExpress with my complain

Shortly afterwards, AliExpress resolved the issue and promised to refund my money fully

If you ever experience such next time, the first thing you should do is to notify Seller. He might offer to send another item in place of the faulty one. But in the event of a seller proving stubborn, dispute would be the solution, with "refund only" as the best option (even if it requires that you settle for partial refund).

Mostly, some sellers prefer to be notified in such a scenario like yours for any possible resolution because they know that bad ratings do hurt their business, and that's what buyers normally do at the end of dispute judgement — they give poor reviews. Therefore, they (sellers) try to avoid dispute as much as possible.

Since you've already gone far with the dispute, I'd advice that you go ahead and drop a message for him ( seller). Ask him if there's a way he could help you out, notifying him of the challenges you've encountered in a bid to returning the item back to China. He might listen to your plea!

Truly I didn't contact the seller before opening the dispute. It was after the dispute had been resolved in my favour that I contacted the seller asking how to drop the item since both speedaf and post office declined to accept the return of the item.

The seller seller replied me but showed no interest in paying for the return of the item.

It depends on the type of item and the seller. Some AliExpress standard shipping percel will come through Speedaf while others through Nipost.

I think TEMU has the best delivery speed compare to aliexpress and alibaba, my TEMU Packages only takes 2weeks max for delivery but Aliexpress and Alibaba takes forever

Unfortunately, Temu does not stock high quality gadgets and electronics. They would have grabbed the whole market and left AE in the mud.
