DEMOCRACY DAY NATIONAL HONOURS' LIST: CORRIGENDUM

During his Democracy Day address at the joint session of the National Assembly earlier today, President Bola Tinubu announced a list of pro-democracy activists and national figures to be honoured for their significant contributions to the restoration of democratic governance in Nigeria.
 
Under the Posthumous Award category, the names of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the Afenifere leader, and Dr. Edwin Madunagu were incorrectly included.
 
Both distinguished individuals are very much alive and, therefore, should not have appeared in the posthumous category.
 
We sincerely regret this oversight. We shall make the necessary corrections across all State House digital platforms.

I thought maybe Tinubu was using that platform to declare his obituary

I suspected they wanted to put Ayo Adebanjo or Yinka Odumakin and they mistakenly put Fasoranti since Tinubu is more aligned with the Fasoranti faction than late Pa Adebanjo's. It is also possible it is one busybody overzealous sycophant that went and removed Adebanjo's name and put Fasoranti under post-humous thinking he was doing the right thing

This is not the first time APC is exhibiting that level of incompetence though so we shouldn't be surprised on second thought

Buhari included dead fellas into government position. Now balablu cocaine sniffing government in haste of self aggrandizement also included living "dead" people for awards. For goodness, these embarrassment ought not to be. And of course, no body will be sack for this bad PR.

when you have a confused government in power, what do you except

As a leader, it's essential to recognize that your vision has the power to shape the destiny of your people and country.

A nation's prosperity is not solely dependent on its resources, but on the integrity and vision of its leaders.

The present leaders we have lack all the afore mentioned. Nigeria is doomed. Only God and time can save us from this evil government.

This is one mistake too many. Bayo Onanuga should focus on his job and avoid embarrassing errors like this instead of focusing his energy on doing gbas gbos with the opposition.

This reveals a level of incompetence in the ranks.

Yinka Odumakin ke? Tinubu is a little, vindictive man. Nothing doing there because Odumakin was his arch critic until his death. The more reason why Odumakin's wife Joe-Okei was apparently overlooked.

Because they are human that can make mistakes moreover they have accepted their mistakes and apologize.

If his SSA made a mistake, should Amuda also made such a mistake?
