Actually, I was trying to power a 1HP Astra Sumo pump using an 18650 battery pack.
After that, I built an 8kW LiFePO4 system and installed a 0.5HP Sumo pump instead.
The reason for the downgrade was that the LiFePO4 setup couldn’t handle the surge required to start the 1HP pump. So, I had to switch to the 0.5HP unit.

That's ridiculous bro, powering heavy appliances is not only done by the capacity of the battery, there are many factors surrounding it, look at your battery again and if possible upload the pictures here let's analyze where u got it wrong sir.

Dont waste your time with bad cells n expect a good result. Good lithium ion battery packs are the products of good quality cells with very good capacity. These clean 3200mAh LG 18650 cells are the still available in large quantities. Chat only pls 08034694579.

If 0.5hp could pull about 800w then your 1hp may likely be 1600w. Reality at times is greater than theory. However, I wonder the lie on the stickers.

I have pumped water with a 1.5hp pumping machine before using a 3.5kva inverter connected to a 2.5kwh lifepo4 battery. It ran it perfectly
