Person with hotel business or Airbnb experience can a Investment of 200m I. Hotel generate 80m net per Anum ?

200m naira hotel getting a return of 80m seems to be very high.A lot of expenses to factor such as salaries,electricity,maintenance and other miscellaneous expenses.Also how many rooms does the hotel have?what kind of location is the hotel situated?Does it have a club,bar,gym to attract revenues from those streams.

You biggest headache in the hospitality business is power. That is what will take the biggest chunk of your overhead.

Ok...so at 28k per night....

You're looking at 80m/12 months = 7M per month approx

7M / 28k = 250 nights per month (means you need to sell 250 nights per month to hit 7M)

250nights/ 30 days = 8.33 (means you need to sell 8.33 night stays per day to hit that target)

So if you have sufficient space for 10 rooms and you can fill that 10 rooms every night, you should hit 80M per annum .....THEORETICALLY

As you may have noticed, this is an extremely simplistic breakdown that does not factor a lot of things.

As an investor, you probably know how to fill in the blanks and make yourself a much more realistic projection.

But this forms a basis for you to decide if this is viable or not.

Can you conviniently fill 10 rooms everyday?

What about 20, 30, 40......

But you need to have a water-tight plan.

The Food and Beverage aspect of your business is a very fertile ground for staff theft and wastage. Infact, if your plan is not solid enough, staff fit build house on top your business oo

That's an entire business of its own. So make sure that you have that part locked down. Same goes for your consumables and store items.

A viable alternative is to outsource some aspects. Stuff like Sharwarma, Suya, Asun etc....all those other side attracting. Operators will simply pay you ground rent. That can bring you additional foot traffic especially for your beverages.
