From the heart of the state, Abeokuta, to the outer towns, it's bad roads, zero progress, and total neglect. Locals are fed up, and many now say this is the worst government Ogun has ever had; maybe even the worst in Nigeria!

Can you imagine? The state capital itself is crawling with potholes, broken roads, and total silence from the government. Nothing is working!

If not for Senator Yayi, who stepped up to install streetlights in some areas, many communities would still be **in total darkness**.

Where is the leadership? Where is the development? Ogun people deserve better!

Supposing the road is linking Lagos and Remo in Ogun state the governor will be Swift to doing it.

He is not Ogun state governor but Remo governor let 2027 come quickly abeg.

Politically on road project saga, ogun state is cursed. It's like there's spiritual forces behind this. They have all it takes to have the best road network even despite their political influence or connection at federal level, no governor dare embark on those projects and complete it.

It's deeper than all what you're thinking, forget corruption. Go and ask those politicians, they all know why.

That's the reason the citizens want to claim Lagos State as their own. Look at the siege in Lagos.

Lots of people from Ogun State,populate both the local and state service as Staff. Ogun State is the state in Nigeria, with the worst road network, right from the days of OGD.

I laugh when people compare him with SIA. This present governor is good at giving unfulfilled promises. To even think that this Government now gets more allocation than his predecessors with nothing to show for it is something else.

He that is not faithful in small, will never use the big judiciously.

Just like a salary earner spending all his 100K on drinking, smoking, womanizing, and other sorts of hedonism.

When he start earning 500K, his indiscipline will only increase.

Finally.... Someone is saying something. What Ogun State loves to brag about is all in Lagos. The worst of all is their Hospitals. OTA General Hospital is in total Shambles. People have to go to Orile Agege General Hospital or any General Hospital in Lagos for proper health treatment because if you go to OTA, it looks like a death sentence. Even the people working there would tell you to go somewhere else.

In contrast with how Lagos is actually investing in their healthcare system and facilities. I really don't know what other governors in the southwest are doing, especially Ogun State because the only bragging they do is about Lagos. For three weeks now, we haven't had proper light here at the very boundary between Ogun and Lagos here in Ota, but when you check the Lagos area, you will see light. This is just terrible. When the government decides to do anything, they drag it for eight years. The Agbara road that was supposed to be for two years has been going on since the inception of Dapo Abiodun's term. I thought he was focusing on Abeokuta but to hear that things are worse there is really alarming. Thank God for Yayi and I hope he is the next governor

To be very honest, and not being bias, Ogun State is really worse under its current administration, whereas, they have more companies and businesses that are flourishing in the country…May God help us in this country, Nigeria.

Bro I'm going to surulere from ota, rain fell and I had to turn back, the conditions of our roads are terrible. Ota needs urgent attention.

Instead of completing important roads like Lagos-Ibadan expressway, he is focusing on a coastal road that is his interest and that of his cronies. A case of chasing rats when your house is on fire.

Roads in Ogun State is an embarrassment to the whole of South West.

Coming From Oyo you'll know when you get to Ogun State, from Lagos till know when you get to Ogun State

The title of the thread is apt. I served in Ogun and the best roads were in the capital - Abeokuta - while the worst roads I've ever seen and experienced were ALL in Ota. Ota has miserable roads for a local government that hosts educational institutions and mega factories. As the title states, the good roads are ALWAYS on the Lagos axis, not Ogun's. Ogun residents, especially those in Ota, and their counterparts in Abia have suffered terribly. I pity them wholeheartedly.

Don't put Abia and ogun in the same sentence. It may be before, but no now.

Ogun state is retrogrssing while Abia is progressing due to leadership of Alex otti.

Look at how this topic on X looks so dry. Yorubas have abandon their state in SW to remain undeveloped, backward, retrogressive and stagnant.

The problem is not the governors. The problem is your people.

They are more concerned about what is happening in lagos. They don't care about what is happening in other SW states. That's why most of them are now claiming lagosians even the ones that are not from lagos.

They don't criticize the governors that are not working. Is non of their business. That's why ogun retrogrssing.
