Ojukwu (if the said quotes attributed to him was true) merely expressed his opinion and was within his rights to do so however extreme it sounded. It's on record that Abiola said very disparaging things about Igbos and even boasted that he didn't need Igbo votes to be president...until a certain Arthur Nzeribe decided to teach him a lesson and serve him some humble pies.

Abiola contrary to the later media whitewashing was no saint either, he used his stupendous wealth to sponsor several coups including the IBB
coup (a fact which any good student of history can verify). Even the great Fela sang about his corruption in his famous "international thief thief" classic, even OBJ his own kinsman wasn't fond of him...Abiola's son Kola was known to be fraternizing and having sexual affairs with one of IBB's daughters even while his father was in prison...several Yoruba leaders betrayed Abiola- Oladipo Diya then a high ranking military officer was an Abacha henchman that joined in nailing Abiola to the cross. The legendary Shina Peter's also performed at the "2 million march for Abacha" ceremony.

But trust Yoruba with their deceitful and selective media to talk about the "bad" Igbos who stood against Abiola while neglecting their own kinsmen that brazenly betrayed Abiola. Yorubas are saints while Igbos are all the villains in the chapter of Yoruba logic.

About Ojukwu's supposed negative contribution to YOUR democracy (cause you can't speak for all Nigerians), was it Ojukwu who ordered the witch hunt and brutal assassination of several Yoruba leaders in Nadeco? or was it Ojukwu who denied Abiola his mandate that consequently killed him? or his wife Kudirat? When will yorubas actually have the balls to face the reality of history squarely instead of pu**y-footing around and finding the next Omo Ibo to blame for their misfortunes?

It was only because Gen Gowon had been too magnanimous that Ojukwu was still around to say that nonsense

If Gowon had the same attitude would Ojukwu have been alive to utter such nonsense

Ojukwu was a beneficiary of Gowon's mercy and afterwards of Shagari who allowed him back into Nigeria

Somebody Shagari should have banished from Nigeria forever

That was the equivalent of allowing Hitler back into Germany after the second World War

Was sacrificing 3 Million precious souls for personal ego a Joke?

Go and read about one Daniel Kanu and his YEAA. " Youth earnestly ask for Abacha ".
That group was the first rented crowed in Nigeria, ably sponsored by the monster general himself.
The YEAA was formed to beg Abacha to transform from a military head of state into a civilian president.
Meanwhile Abacha's hitmen continued their killings in the SW, those crying up and down today shedding crocodile tears were benefiting heavily from Abacha's Junta.
They never saw anything wrong in what is going on, they were always waiting for Abacha to destroy Yoruba land.
It is the reason they ended up in PDP, they believed their political bread will always be buttered as long as they aligned with the North.
What they don't expect happened with the emergence of Tinubu, they KNEW he is their NEMESIS, this was why they've been attacking him since the formation of ACN.
