Hope the prices will come down ? The current price is way too costly. Excuse has always been exporty crude for refining. Now, we still paying heavily for locally refined products. |

To ask Alhaji for free 500000 liters dey hungry me but I am waiting for him to offset this his refinery loan ...I think the initiative is good , as it allows moribund petrol stations to come alive, allow for leasing without added cost of trucking, Telcos can get diesel to remote locations..most importantly it creates new job for Truckers ... |

It was only a matter of time. With marketers planning to import fuel to sell at 700 naira, dangote would have been stupid not to embark on some form of retailing. Let's analyse this further. Dangote has signed a deal to import 5000 units of CNG trucks. This means his costs of transport will be far cheaper than using diesel. Will he pass on the savings to consumers? If he does, IPMAN and MOMAN will be facing a very major challenge. CNG trucks are the game changer. Dangote may bury independent marketers for good if he does this. But then again, he is dangote and profit maximisation is drives him. He may still keep fuel prices high even though he has the mechanism to drop prices. |

I won't be surprise the govt might be initiating this to cushion the effect of fuel cost. Election is coming, new strategies springing up. I hope tomorrow dey won't tell us another story of how this is being subsidised? Keep the Greek gift, Nigerians ain't interested. |

AmazingELixir:if you can't stand the heat then, leave the kitchen. You can't expect someone who has been running a refinery for over a year not to go into distribution especially someone running something so massive as Dangote refinery. Many other marketers have modular refinery licenses but they opted to import instead of investing in the refinery and going into production. Dangote should feast abeg |

Maxymilliano:Dangote has received lots of beneficial economic incentives from Bola Tinubu administration. Remember that he said by the time the impact of the the reforms is being felt by Nigerians, Aso Rock will become a pilgrimage. Now if the international price of petrol goes up to $300 it won't affect Nigeria because a genius economist called Asiwaju approved the Naira for crude. May God bless those who never voted for that packaged fraud emergency Messiah and their unborn generation forever, and may God forgive those of us who didn't vote at all because we lost hope in the system. Amen. I might vote again in the next election for the first time since 1993 if Asiwaju continues these reforms |

Seems monopoly, but if it brings price of petrol down to 600/liters Diesel #600/liters Gas #500/kg . We would be happy |
| Re: Dangote Refinery begins nationwide distribution Of PMS & Diesel by August by ElevationD: 8:19pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
That’s good. However, did the refinery consider collaborating with the federal government to connect other parts of the country using pipelines? At least, that should reduce the risks of trucks having accidents on the roads and costing lives and properties. Some Dangote truck drivers are known to be quite reckless on the highways. Also it should reduce the time frame for delivery of products nationwide. |

This is the game changer that will kick the Independent Petroleum Marketers out of business. I want to see how they will keep importing petrol into Nigeria with this new initiative from Dangote. |
