you would be asking how many people use iPhone XR that's the amount a used iPhone XR is !

You think 300k is a big deal
I am sure you don't even have 50k but come on line to brag. Is it the used I - phone or old model people are carrying about or the ones they borrowed money to buy. You are measuring people's pockets with i-phone. If so why are people complaining of hunger in Nigeria? Your minimum wage is how much?

Una too dey argue ....most of them in USA have no retirement..they work till 70s ! That's madness that slavery

About 6 to 8 million adults ages 65 and older were living in poverty in 2022, depending on the measure used to assess poverty. Under the official poverty measure, one in 10 (10.2%), or 5.9 million adults ages 65 and older, had incomes below the official poverty threshold

In short ! Majority of the Americans are in one debt or the other ...working to pay off these debts
What kind of mvmv assumption is Most of them dont have retirement plan ... where did you (Nigerians) that have retirement plan copy it from

The fact that people work into their late age doesnt negate "retirement plan" ... whites dont like being a liability in their old age and for some "working" keeps them active n alive
sitting down after retirement is what killed my Father quick, he is not the sit down person

How can you posit people that dont joke with mortgage plan dont have retirement plan .. undecided

Why would anyone regret really, what is there to regret .. Forget what u see on social media, For most Nigerians abroad that have spent up to 5 years, After paying ur rent or mortgage and feeding your family and providing for other needs, it is "piece of cake" to have 1m naira every month for either savings or investment or some other project, Why would anyone regret that, especially when your last job in Nigeria was not even paying you 500k per month
Many Nigerians living not just abroad but the coveted US/UK and struggling paycheck to paycheck barely keeping head above water will be reading this and just shaking their head😅

Mr man you can not stay else where and start telling me what is happening in my locality. You might hear general news but can never know what is happening at the grassroots level and how the people feel if you don't leave there.
I have been to all the 36 states of Nigeria, some of you people think that everybody here is a kid.
This is my 28th year in the US so can you please tell me what is happening here in my locality with regards to health since you always hear the news?
You need to curb yourself of false mentally and hear say. You are one of those that probably believe that people pick money on the ground abroad.

And they will still end up being kidnàpped and even kpai-ing them even after paying ransoms.
Hope you know they no longer kidnàp only on the high way. They now burst into people's homes.

Hehehe. Let's not deceive ourselves. Nigeria is a zoó.

Kídnappers are now having a filled days in Nigeria. All thanks to your córrupt leaders that are playing ludo with the masses lives.
This is like saying people in US are worried about being killed in mass shootings. Though you read about it all the tine, that's the last thing on the average American's mind. Likewise, the last thing the average Nigerian in Lagos is worried about is bein kidnapped.

This is exactly how one of my exam officers put it to me the day I went to collect my result.

He said he had regretted his decision to remain in Nigeria after the school retained him as the best graduating student in his faculty in the 80s. He said that some of his mates back then didn't waste the opportunity they all had but relocated to US and UK. Today, they have their permanent residence and have all moved their families there while he's still fighting for minimum wage.

I looked around his dusty and rickety office and he started pointing at his fan and AC that neither was working. As I tell you, till today, this man has made it a point of duty to always call me every week just to remind of the need to leave Nigeria while I still have the energy.

Western nations often present themselves as models of prosperity, but beneath the polished image lies a growing crisis—rising poverty and decaying public infrastructure. This reality is often downplayed, not because it doesn’t exist, but because it challenges the narrative of Western superiority.

Media rarely gives sustained attention to struggling communities, and when it does, the framing often blames individuals rather than addressing broken systems. Meanwhile, governments subtly redefine poverty thresholds, masking the real depth of economic suffering.

The decline of public services—like housing, healthcare, and education—has been buried under decades of privatization and neoliberal policies. Wealth is concentrated, but inequality grows. The poor suffer quietly, especially in areas far from media spotlight—rural America, post-industrial Britain, or even parts of Paris.

It’s not that Western poverty is hidden; it’s that it’s inconvenient. Acknowledging it would mean admitting that the system doesn’t work for everyone. And that’s a truth many in power would rather the world didn’t see.

Suicide is a personal decision. Your question ought to be "how come they don't have any terrorist organizations in their country, backed by the government and the slowpoke citizens that benefits absolutely nothing from that same government that sends those same backed up terrorists to kill and slaughter them while the morons of a citizen become docile as they dance and sing praises to the government that made their life a living terror".

"How come their standard of living is so ease that you or your country folks do away with their possessions in their own country, just to run to that country and becoming a inferior body"

"How come their government don't take them for fools"

"How come their basic amenities are what we cherish so much, despite seating in piles of mineral resources, yet we can't boast of ONE single infrastructure"

I believe you're an adult and you can comprehend where I'm driving at, so no need for me to go further.
For all that more of them decide life is NOT worth living. Suicide is the ultimate vote about overall life in a place

The U.S. also has the highest firearm suicide rate compared to other wealthy countries. And more women are killed by guns than in any peer nation. In 2019, firearms accounted for 10.4 deaths for every 100,000 people in the U.S., according to the Commonwealth Fund

Washington, D.C. has the highest firearms homicide rate at 28.5 per 100,000 residents.
Southern and Midwestern states like Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama also report high rates.

While I'm Europe....Sweden has the highest rate of gun homicides in Europe. While many European countries have seen a decline in overall homicide rates, Sweden has experienced a notable increase in gun-related homicides since 2005, particularly among young adults and males, according to research from Brottsförebyggande rådet (Brå). This increase has led to Sweden having a higher rate of gun homicide than many other European countries

In 2025, there have already been four mass killings in the United States. These events involve the death of four or more people (excluding the perpetrator). One event in Washington (3), one in Milwaukee (2), and two in LaGrange and Cleveland (both with 7 deaths) are recorded for June 8 and June 9.
A mass killing is defined as an incident where four or more people are killed, excluding the perpetrator. This definition is consistent with how the FBI defines it.
The Gun Violence Archive tracks mass shootings, which include incidents where four or more people are injured or killed. They report there have been more than 488 mass shootings in the US so far in 2024.
The Rockefeller Institute of Government reports that since 1966, 1,694 people have been killed and 2,628 injured in mass public shootings. This translates to an average of 3.4 people killed and 5.3 people injured in each event.
The Washington Post notes that guns have been used in an average of 25 mass killings per year in the US since 2006, resulting in the deaths of 2,572 people.

In the "mass killings" you've stated, just show me one that 200 people were killed?

You don't have an argument...

There's no place in Europe or USA where 200 people will be killed and security forces won't show up....

The mass killings you showed, police still showed up and killed the shooters...
