tonychristopher:I am sure you don't even have 50k but come on line to brag. Is it the used I - phone or old model people are carrying about or the ones they borrowed money to buy. You are measuring people's pockets with i-phone. If so why are people complaining of hunger in Nigeria? Your minimum wage is how much? |

chidiokay:Mr man you can not stay else where and start telling me what is happening in my locality. You might hear general news but can never know what is happening at the grassroots level and how the people feel if you don't leave there. I have been to all the 36 states of Nigeria, some of you people think that everybody here is a kid. This is my 28th year in the US so can you please tell me what is happening here in my locality with regards to health since you always hear the news? You need to curb yourself of false mentally and hear say. You are one of those that probably believe that people pick money on the ground abroad. |

Mcslize:This is like saying people in US are worried about being killed in mass shootings. Though you read about it all the tine, that's the last thing on the average American's mind. Likewise, the last thing the average Nigerian in Lagos is worried about is bein kidnapped. |

Western nations often present themselves as models of prosperity, but beneath the polished image lies a growing crisis—rising poverty and decaying public infrastructure. This reality is often downplayed, not because it doesn’t exist, but because it challenges the narrative of Western superiority. Media rarely gives sustained attention to struggling communities, and when it does, the framing often blames individuals rather than addressing broken systems. Meanwhile, governments subtly redefine poverty thresholds, masking the real depth of economic suffering. The decline of public services—like housing, healthcare, and education—has been buried under decades of privatization and neoliberal policies. Wealth is concentrated, but inequality grows. The poor suffer quietly, especially in areas far from media spotlight—rural America, post-industrial Britain, or even parts of Paris. It’s not that Western poverty is hidden; it’s that it’s inconvenient. Acknowledging it would mean admitting that the system doesn’t work for everyone. And that’s a truth many in power would rather the world didn’t see. |

baratech:In 2025, there have already been four mass killings in the United States. These events involve the death of four or more people (excluding the perpetrator). One event in Washington (3), one in Milwaukee (2), and two in LaGrange and Cleveland (both with 7 deaths) are recorded for June 8 and June 9. A mass killing is defined as an incident where four or more people are killed, excluding the perpetrator. This definition is consistent with how the FBI defines it. The Gun Violence Archive tracks mass shootings, which include incidents where four or more people are injured or killed. They report there have been more than 488 mass shootings in the US so far in 2024. The Rockefeller Institute of Government reports that since 1966, 1,694 people have been killed and 2,628 injured in mass public shootings. This translates to an average of 3.4 people killed and 5.3 people injured in each event. The Washington Post notes that guns have been used in an average of 25 mass killings per year in the US since 2006, resulting in the deaths of 2,572 people. |

ariesbull:In the "mass killings" you've stated, just show me one that 200 people were killed? You don't have an argument... There's no place in Europe or USA where 200 people will be killed and security forces won't show up.... The mass killings you showed, police still showed up and killed the shooters... |
