Iranian General Claims Pakistan Will Nuke Israel If Attacked With Nuclear Weapon – Pakistan Denies

A senior Iranian military officer, General Mohsen Rezaei, has claimed that Pakistan will launch a nuclear strike on Israel if the country drops a nuclear bomb on Iran.

This is coming amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.

Rezaei gave these remarks during an interview on Iranian television as a barrage of missiles crisscrossed Iran and Israel.

Reports claimed that about 248 deaths (Iran 230 and Israel 18) have been reported in the two countries.

"Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb," said Rezaei, a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a member of Iran's National Security Council.

Note that Israel and Pakistan are among the nine countries that currently possess nuclear weapons, according to ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons).

Rezaei added that Pakistan vowed to "stand behind Iran" and called on the Muslim world to unite.

He also claimed that Tehran has hidden capabilities that are yet to be revealed to the world, NDTV reports.

However, officials in Pakistan have denied the claim, but the country has expressed support for Iran in its fight against Israel.

Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif took to X to refute the claim, asserting that Pakistan has not made any such commitment. In his statement, he further emphasised that Pakistan remains a signatory to all international nuclear protocols.

"World should be wary and apprehensive about Israel’s nuclear prowess, a country not bound by any international nuclear discipline not signatory to NPT or any other binding arrangement,” Asif said.

“Pakistan is signatory to all international nuclear disciplines, our nuclear capability is for the benefit of our people and defence of our country against hostile designs of our enemies. We do not pursue hegemonic policies against our neighbours which are being amply demonstrated by Israel these days.

“Western world must worry about conflicts being generated by Israel, it will engulf the whole region and beyond, their patronage of Israel a rogue state can have catastrophic consequences.”

SaharaReporters earlier reported that at least eight people were killed on Saturday night when Iranian aerial strikes on Israel.

The deceased included four children, with more than 200 others injured, according to Israel's Foreign Ministry.

The barrage came in retaliation for Israel’s surprise strike early Friday on Iran’s nuclear programme. According to Israeli officials, that operation killed several nuclear scientists and high-ranking military leaders.

A U.S. official told ABC News that the United States had no military involvement in the Israeli strike.

“Iran targets innocents,” the ministry said. “Israel targets nuclear and military sites -- to stop the world's most dangerous terror regime from acquiring the world’s most dangerous weapons. We will do whatever it takes to defend our people. Israel is doing what must be done.”
