I don't get the fuss...!

If Dangote is doing things the way he likes, why not do your own?!!

Where is the monopoly here?!! Is he supposed to spend money producing for you to determine how he distributes?!!

Competition is very necessary. This is a big lesson too for business to continue to improve their services with fantastic innovation otherwise time will tell how their businesses will be taken over by new ways of doing business. Again I pray is not a program that is aimed at solely taking over the market by Dangote because if this happen, he will deal with us like he is accused of doing in the cement industry.

What crime has he committed . You guys too should go and convert your trucks to CNG and stop the complain. These are the people that doesn't want the economy to work . The federal government should as a matter of urgency mandate all trucks to convert to CNG gases with immediate effect.

BEST THING DANGOTE HAS DONE..... AT LEAST FOR THE FIRST TIME NIGERIA WILL HAVE CERTIFIED ROADWORTHY AND SAFE PETROLEUM TANKERS ON IT'S ROAD INSTEAD OF THOSE DEATH BOMBS THAT ARE ON THE ROAD NOW THAT YOU ALL CALL PETROL TANKERS

PETROAN ARE VERY DAFT LIKE SOMEBODY STOPS THEM FROM DELIVERING THEIR OWN PETROLEUM PRODUCTS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR FREE ALSO

Then, government agencies have to distributors to other private manufacturing companies 🙄. Don't know how nairaland allows all this kind of emptiness.
Is that not what Dangote is about to begin and the marketer/distro are raising concern about?

What I see is 4000 new jobs created and not job losses.
Re: PETROAN Kicks Against Dangote Refinery’s Fuel Distribution Plan by keemsleek(m): 3:01pm On Jun 16, 2025
It's not about any group, it will also affect people that do supplies to companies cis the company will start buying directly from dangote. People who are into haulage too will suffer it and depots will cut staffs. I don't support the idea.

Dangote should just deal with refining and leave supplies and haulage to normal.people. depots are already shouting down.

If the heat is too much then you can leave the kitchen.

This petroan has fed fat on the nation for many years.

Sell cheaper or leave the business.

Don’t be surprised if they go ahead and sabotage Dangote refinery or Dangote trucks.

That is how they killed NNPC refineries

Sounds to me like PETROAN do not want their own monopoly challenged.
You know the matters, for instance some marketers add profit of up to 300-350 per litre. This i know from using my gallon, I am fully in support of Dangote. They will be screaming screaming transport gibberish whereas other major markerters sell at far cheaper price. My personal experience from Jos,Plateau State. Don't follow displayed price but quantity gotten from same price 🤷.

But why is nobody talking about the productivity of Nigerias 4 refineries? If these 4 are working optimally Dangote should be the one to be worried .
Re: PETROAN Kicks Against Dangote Refinery’s Fuel Distribution Plan by stagger: 3:09pm On Jun 16, 2025
Dangote should send these people back to the village.

My personal and business fuel consumption is close to 700 litres a month. Savings of N25 per liter puts N17500 back in my pocket a month, or N210,000 a year.

I know what that savings can do for me in one year. I can use it to buy a bag of rice and food items for Christmas.

So please, send these people back to the village.

The ptetroan don't have case, Dangote is a Nigerian and by virtue of been Nigerian. He has right to distribute his business to anywhere he wishes in Nigeria. So far he didn't commit arson by discharging his business.

They call it the earthquake tsunami effect where the earthquake sucks the ocean towards the fault causing the beach water to retreat.

The unwary are then drawn in amazement to the exposed beach and find rich pickings in stranded fish and valuable sea shells and ornaments knowing little that disaster will come roaring back faster than a jetliner when the market is totally monopolized and the dearth of competition sets the stage for price fixing.

Mr. Dangote is one hell of a hardnosed capitalist. Unfortunately the people and the governments they elect are leagues behind.

I hope we will not be forced to hand over the entire economy to this guy the way we are busy mismanaging while he innovates.

What then is NNPCL existing for if after decades they cannot distribute petrol and challenge one man?
NNPCL has been subsidizing fuel and selling at a lost, they are even in great debt that at this moment, they can't compete with dangote

lol, I saw this coming as far back as 2019. In fact I sat on an interview with the MD of Rain Oil for the final stage of their recruitment process and my question to him was what they plan to do to their business model when Dangote becomes operational because in my mind this was inevitable especially when you see Femi Otedola who happened to be a friend of Dangote divesting from Forte Oil. The MD answered me casually that Dangote will simply become their supplier but I wasn’t convinced. My take is that the end of fuel importation/Tankfarm storage/Fuel station as a business in Nigeria is near. It’s only a matter of time.
Dangote will push most of them out eventually so they better start exiting strategically!
Re: PETROAN Kicks Against Dangote Refinery’s Fuel Distribution Plan by tonyashburton: 3:31pm On Jun 16, 2025
Dangote doesn't have one single retail outlet. He wants to distribute to retailers that are buying from his refinery.
So what's PETROAN's problem? If they don't like it then buy from Dangote and he will deliver fuel to your doorstep.

Dangote is going for the jugular, but at the end of the day the consumers will smell pepper. Dangote will completely squeeze every single penny from the masses for the huge loss and risk he is about to take.
they were fighting the refinery, back then Dangote does nothing but complain like VDM, now Dangote is fighting back.

PETROAN Its a free and deregulated market for business sake. Dangote is free to sell his product as he wish.

The kinds of people sponsoring violence in Nigeria just so that their interests will remain unchallenged. They are speaking out because they’ve jammed the power that overturned their power. If it is before, they would have taken actions against the masses. Strikes, sponsoring paid protesters, diverting of PMS tankers to neighboring country, hoarding of PMS and others just to keep their interests unchallenged. I can’t imagine someone with right senses can be saying all these with no shame or whatsoever.
No iota of patriotism in them, all full of ego and selfishness. Spits!!

Maxymilliano:
So Dangote can't distribute his own product?
They want him to give them, then they'll do the distribution.

It is just like your wholesaler now dragging your customers with you instead of selling to you then you selling to your customers.

If you ask me, it is a good development which will eliminate the middlemen eating fat from the petrol industry but could also lead to monopoly especially if NNPC or another private citizen cannot compete with Dangote

At least u all can now see the real Caucus of Thieves troubling Nigeria. PETROAN SHOULD MATCH UP OR FULKK OFF. IF NOT THE FIGHT WILL BE BETWEEN NIGERIANS AND THEM. THIEVES OF SUBSIDY FOR MANY YEARS STILL WANT TO HOLD THE COUNTRY

We'll simply move to another stall. It's called open market. Competition.

NNPC symbolizes why government should not be running any form of business.

Well there is a reason why there are anti-Trust laws
Government needs to look into that

There may be a need to force Dangote to List the Refinery and open up to other owners
