Simply put, almost everyone (indigenes and non-indigenes) living in Lagos is tax compliant and as such should benefit from government policies and also have a say on how their investments are managed. Tax is good, so also is it’s appropriate usage. Side note: I remember a president’s aide saying Nigerians don’t pay tax… now this is just state tax not federal. |

Lagos, Rivers and Oyo will always top the list as usual. My darling Ondo is like a student that refuses to pass and also refuses to fail. Since Mr Lucky became governor, Ondo has not been in the news for any good reasons. SMH |

This list is a false stats because it doesn't represent the consumption trend in Nigeria. If VAT is a consumption tax then the derivatives should reflect where the consumption took place and not where the production occurred. Production is only complete if it reaches the final consumer. Let’s stop these abracadabra statistics. Let them release the stats on the N50 Electronic Stamp duty collected across the States as that will be more authentic. |

Baxilexi:And Oyo? And for the least 12, arent the indigenes and non-indigenes compliant too? Why are the numbers that low? This "Lagos economy is being boosted by Indigenes and Non-indigenes" is BS. The USA is the largest economy in the terms of Nominal GDP, yet i dont see people going about telling us that we shouldnt attribute this to the Native Red Indians. USA produces thisand that. I have never heard people say European residents in the USA are the reason for this. Nobody cares if the Non-Indigenes are the backbones or not. It simply states Lagos! All these explanations are null |

Ikaeniyan0:Say by someone who has never travel out of his brown roof. The Statistics that's says Oyo has a high VAT. You believe. The same statistics also place Aba as no 3 of cities with best economies in 2025. You are saying otherwise.

Ikaeniyan0:VAT is a tax regime that is factored into the prices of goods and services. As far you are buying goods and services, then you are indirectly paying tax. |
