Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Former Head of State, Nigeria has said the Biafra war was not fight against Igbos, But secessionists carrying arms against Governments.

According to him, "I had a responsibility and duty as a loyal Nigerian to keep the country whole. From the beginning, I ensured that this was not a war against Igbos as such, but one to stop the breaking up of Nigeria. I gave a code of conduct of how the operations were to go; soldiers on the Nigerian side were to protect the people, especially women and children, and take up arms only against those who had taken arms against them. The number of people who were casualties of the war is not in millions. The other side also refused all attempts to send aid into their camp."

This man is still living in the past. The war ended 45 years ago and this man is yet to close the chapter. Former Eastern Nigeria has moved on but Gowon is not allowing us to hear anything except civil war stories. Maybe he is having nightmares from the innocent people he and northern brothers killed in the name of "Go On With One Nigeria -Gowon" .
Benue and Plateau people are been killed in their homes and communities sacked and Gowon never talked about it

Abandoned Property Law was also against secessionists and not Igbos.
Asaba, Isheagu and lots of other whole scale massacre of Igbo villagers waving the Nigerian flag by the Nigerian soldiers was against secessionists with arms and not against Igbos.
Can Gowon tell us about his three (3) Rs... Reconciliation, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation? What did he reconstruct in the East Central State from February 1970 to 1975 when he was kicked out of power?
Anyway, Ndigbo who are feeling the love of Gowon and his team can tell what kind of love it is.
Some men who lost all their money's and properties due to Awolowo's 20pounds policy and abandoned property law are still alive. I'm sure they'll agree with Gowon.
Gowon should try and convince his people in Plateau and Benue states that the Fulanis killing them are doing it out of love and not hatred.
