flokii:President Tinubu had earlier ordered that the culprits be fished out and, Army and the Nigeria Police are combing through the forests and neighbouring States to fish out the perpetrators. Ranching is the only way out in the long run but, thst does not absolves the killers from facing justice. Your President, my President, our President is very much on course my brother. Keep faith in his leadership |

Why didn't the government order for a peace committee for the burning of those kidnappers in Edo State ? |

erad:So you and your family were living in peace in your house and suddenly a group of people came killed every member of your family and you somehow escaped, you went to report to the police and the police came and told you that you have to give up half of your family land so that those people who wiped out your entire family won't kill you the reamining survivor. Are you going to agree? |

Kukutente23:Lol... A lot of you don't understand how deep-rooted this problem is. You keep thinking of checkers moves in a game of chess. You have a group of people that are mobile, have no fixed properties and can easily disappear in the twinkle of an eye and you have another group of people who are grounded. They are in their home and most of all they own is fixed. In a fire for fire situation, who do you think will suffer the greater casualties and losses. Everyone can choose to be emotional or logical, it's up to them. |

Let this be a reminder that we need to take the next elections seriously. Don't let apathy weigh you down, that's what these kleptocrats want. They use money to buy up institutions that are supposed to serve our collective interest and they re emboldened by your resignation and apathy. Dont let yourselves to be reduced to just surviving , you re being killed slowly. Remember the numbers are on our side. Its been only 2 years and see the colossal damage done to the nation. They're selling the idea of building houses with bamboo. Signing a credit corp bill that forces the citizens to borrow and if you cant repay you will loose everyday rights . What sort of government does that? The want to reduce everyone to serfs and peasants, resist it. |

lexy2014:What exactly do you want defended here? He has stated the facts. When insecurity is allowed to fester without proactive solution, who should be blamed? Were you not born in 2014 when the whole North East was an eye sore of insecurity? When government was denying attacks, kidnaps and deaths on national TV? The whole country was having bombs going off in bus stops, markets and churches for God's sake? Did you not read in case you were a toddler then? To be conservative, we had over 7000 people killed by boko haram in 2014 alone, and millions displaced. i was been searched in the bank and church and school, are you okay? That was terrorism. That was clearly beyond the governors and the governors accepted so. They were crying out for help and weapons and intelligence from the government. That is not in any way near what is happening in Benue for decades now. We have reports from as far back as 1960 and 1964 about the issues in Benue. We were alive when OBJ sent in soldiers there. Point is it did not start today. Now to politicise it instead of address it is very wrong. Ortom did this all through his time and now this father governor is starting it. That was why the President came hard on him yesterday. The father of the state is not just there to pray and collect money and blame FG and his godfather for state problems. That is the food basket of the nation for God's sake. If his head was working properly, a tuber of yam should not be as expensive as it currently is. His state is going comatose and he is busy trading blame. And you want to politicise it by force by fire. What are your solutions if i may ask? |

erad:I find it disturbing that you think genocide is a game of chess and checkers Probably because you're not directly affected As I said previously, hyping the ability of the herdsmen over the indigenes is misplaced. What the herdsmen basically profit from is the willingness of the Tiv people to surrender their sovereignty to the Nigerian state which forbids them to bear arms while the herdsmen refuse to accept the same condition as citizens of the state. Were the ground to be level in terms of arms, I can assure you that the result will be different. Factual history established that the Tiv have always beaten the Fulani black and blue during conflicts in pre-colonial times. So your game is having different rules for the players. And in this case, it is the rule breakers that seem wise and superior while the law- abiding are deemed weak and unfortunate. This is the summary of the Nigerian state |

erad:At the end of the day, you are still saying they should be robbed and they should give up what they own in exchange for their lives. That is the definition of armed robbery. "Your money or your life" is what armed robbers always said. So master chess player that you are (and you dont know chess at all) you are advocating such nonsense. |

Image123:You know this idea of shifting responsibility for security to the state govs started when APC took power at the centre. Before then, every incident of insecurity was laid at Jonathan's door. Chibok girls were kidnaped in Borno while BBOG happened in Abuja. Even Shettima who was directly complicit by ignoring WAEC's request to move all the children in terror prone areas to the capital to write their exams. Yet, he went on TV to shed crocodile tears and you all hailed him then. It is you that's now crying that insecurity is being politicised and you believe genocidal killings are within the power of unarmed governors to curb? |

lexy2014:You said "please come and defend tinubu" i said defend what, What exactly do you want defended here? He has stated the facts. Now you are glibly asking for the facts. Fester means to undergo or exist in a state of progressive deterioration Tinubu said that the festering boko haram attacks on the North East and massacre of innocent citizens is concrete proof that Nigeria has no government. What part of it is wrong? NONE. Your now trying to compare it to what is happening in Benue is either high-level ignorance or mischief. 1. Benue is one state, not a whole region, North East- FACT 2. The NE crises was caused by Boko Haram, a world known terror group, it is not same with Benue- FACT 3. The NE crises claimed thousands of lives annually, and displaced millions of Nigerians, the Benue issue has not. - FACT 4. The NE governors had become helpless and incessantly called for help from the FG against the terror group, the Benue government has not exhausted its resources, neither do they need FG help to solve their problem. Like the governor stated, they are making progress. For one, the governor did not say that the attacks are from outside but was blaming politicians from Benue state. You can watch him here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0ESD84B7I8 He also said that there was good progress been made. His case is like that of having to call the MD of a bank or MTN to solve a customer problem. There are engineers and customer care inbetween to deal with that. It has not reached the issue. This is what the President clearly showed in his speech yesterday. Now, show me which of the stated FACTs above is untrue. Also, What are your solutions if i may ask? You have dodged the questions twice already, evident that you don't want or have answers, you just want to oppose, most likely because you are paid to. |

Tinubu is just being politically clever. He knows exactly what to do. For now he will not take any steps that could backfire politically. But during his second term, the Fulanis will hear from him. Dude will ban open grazing via an executive order after his reelection. He will also go after the big masquerades. Jonathan lost in the North largely due to his fierce military campaign against BH on the eve of 2015 presidential elections. Tinubu, unlike Jonathan, is a politician. |
