Capital punishment both act as a measure of deterrence for aspiring bandits and terrorists as well as help in taking out the most hardened and evil out of circulation, this brings about a safer country.

All these releasing of terrorists will encourage the aspiring young terrorists, they will see the government are afraid of the bandits, it will also play on the psychology of the troops and police officers, their morale will be low.

Once terrorists are caught, prosecution and sentencing, a good way to flush out bad seeds.

There is a reason nations like America, China, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, developed richer nations than Nigeria still use the death penalty, and their country don't have terrorists problems, while we do.

We are just deceiving ourselves, or are we more civilised than America?

Instead, let every region or state give amnesty and let it be from IGR or VAT from within. No more trans-sahara anmesty of using oyel money to pay Fulani or whatever from Mali and Chad.

What are you saying? Are you okay? Why should amnesty be granted to terrorist and bandits who go about killing people? Explain please

With my proposal, tax from groundnut or sugarcane or rice will be used to settle bandits who originate from those areas growing them.
That way, the locals will be forced to hold themselves accountable, no need for wuruwuru state police thats funded with oyel money or VAT from from pollution-enduring Lagos or PH.
In no time, they will place fatwa on those useless elements and use them as fertilizers for the crops. All guns will be melted and used to create priductive tools like cutlass and drone. Watch Nigeria develop faster from afar.

There's nothing like bandits and terrorists. They are APC foot soldiers being settled for removing Jonathan. If your president touches them, a can of worms will be opened.

If you think it's a lie, how come no single arrest has been made? Are you also aware that the benue governor knew about the attack before it happened?

The politicians have sold their souls to satan, so they now play chess with the lives of citizens

Politicians are saying there is no money for state police, yet living lavishly with extravagance, I think they don't prioritise their people's lives and safety.

Capital punishment won't be approved because these terrorists are muslims. They will be pampered.

The numbers of terrorists and bandits keep increasing, capital punishment will help weed out the most notorious and evil, who serve as inspiration for the upcoming terrorists and bandits. The bad seeds need to be flushed out.

They should extend the capital punishment to the ritualists as well. They are all evil people who are not needed in any community

Those terrorists are just pawn in the game. The people who are financing them are still the one lobbying about their release after caught...

We have only been arresting and killing the errand boys not those who are sponsoring and financing them

I agree with you, seems some people somewhere want this to persist, with all our firepower, it's absurd we can't stop these terrorists threats. Our security apparatus is compromised.

If those who are financing those terrorists don't have people in our military, they would have been decimated long time. Their are cabals in service and ex service that the government first need to shame publicly before arresting them

They have been changing them for years yet little progress.

To stop the terrorists from operating, arrest their top leaders, those one will give the government the information about those who are sponsoring them, the ammunitions those rag tags are using are expensive .

After extracting full details from the arrested terrorist leaders about those who are financing them, government should publish their names in most of the major news paper. That alone without arresting them would bring shame to them, family and their associates as they are well known in their town
