Some people are really blessed in this life.

The university must have been so good to him. That's why he's giving back.

The kind of lecturers we had in school in my time were sadists who would boldly tell you that you couldn't make an A in their course.

I don't know if they use grades to sew clothes and cook food.

Wrong, it is actually billions when calculated -1 dollar is 1600*1000,000=1,600,000,000

These are nonsense talks... Nobody forced him to make the pledge. He wanted to payback to the school that made him who he has become, without the school, he would have been nothing I. life. He is not doing the school any favors, as a matter of fact, during his time, the tuition fee was free of charge.
So why didn't your brother and fathers who are from Yorubaland who finished UI do the same, since he is not doing the school any favour?

You are telling me, if he had graduated from UNIZIK or UNN, he wouldn't have amounted to anything?

Na only people wey go UI dey become billionaires?

Look at this one..always trying to make everything tribal.
Deep down you KNOW that it will be the narrative if he ever tries to run for a political office. At that moment you will remember how his late uncle served as Ojukwu’s chief butler during the war.

The school did not put a gun on his head to do it.
Show us any other tribe that have done such in South Eastern Nigeria. Igbos have a good heart and they are mainly not tribalistic.

Let a Yorubaman run for office first in the SE and you guys vote for that person. When you elect such person, we would return the favour.

Igbos have won political offices in election all over Lagos. During Tinubu's era he also appointed more than one Igbo commisioner in Lagos.

Wheras, No Yoruba commisioner has ever been appointed in the SE till date let alone vote a Yoruba person.

There is a Yoruba guy in Enugu building stadiums, hospitals, scholarships, road projects, mosque e.t.c You don't see Yorubas carrying loud speakers are trying to guilt trip others.

Interesting gesture from the man who recognises his alumnus. What is more interesting is the fact they're not complaining that he is making the university a no-man's-university, they're not complaining he is dominating them, not complaining about the source of his wealth, they're not complaining he has the billionaire tag. See them smiling and collecting money.

It seems such complaints only happen when it's an Igbo investing in Igboland; one race expressing frustration about the relative prosperity of the other.
Simple congratulations would do. Haba, cho cho cho cho cho cho. Chestbeating stylishly.

Go & look for Yoruba people that went to school in Alaigbo. Is the schools that are training ibo people in the SW that do not have good heart?

You see how you ended up agreeing to my post? So why did you try to pass off as a detribalised Nigerian? This is about becoming the president of Nigeria NOT the president of a Yoruba nation. Igbos voted a Yoruba man in obasanjo, Igbos voted for Abiola en mass, he even won in Anambra resoundingly in 1993 so try another false narrative.

The probability is higher in the US than anywhere else. That is my point. Nowhere would likely produce a doctor who is moneyed enough to donate $1m to any cause. In fact, the richest physicians all made their wealth in the US.
