There's a series sherlock with benedict cumberbatch and Martin freeman. You should see it too. It was spectacular. I highly recommend of you haven't seen it.
Thank you for the recommendation. I’ve only seen the abominable bride. Now I will check others. The good news is the full series is highly rated on Imdb 😀. Thanks again.

You'll really enjoy it. I've watched it thrice over the years. It's that good.

A Working Man is the best movies 2025
Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life of working construction. However, when human traffickers kidnap his boss's daughter, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined.

It's a generic but fun Jason Statham movie and nothing else...

It's not the best movie of 2025 by a mile

Just watched the drinker piss on killer of killers.

Then I saw the movie he made.... and I'm like the F. He doesn't have the right to shit on anything even the room.

Any movie prod expert should please attempt this question. I'm seeing a lot of videos being generated from common apps like VEO and the quality looks so good, it's crazy. If AI can make it look so real and good, why are million dollar movies struggling with CGI and VFX?

As one of my favourite directors of all time, I anticipate.....

DC has it's Clayface!!
Can't wait to see what Mike Flanagan has crafted for the CBM genre.

There is a reason why people with an eye for quality can easily spot A.I generated video with like 85% accuracy and so the short answer is, current A.I models lack the refinement of large scale CGI and VFX that modern blockbusters demand....

The long of it
Filmmaking is not just about visuals, there are symbolism and emotions that brings the storytelling alive and so directors and filmmakers need the precise control of humans to craft it...A.I models currently lack these depth of layers.

Proper Filmmaking is about consistency in elements such as lightning, textures etc...matching environment and lighting between scenes, this requires deft touch that AI would struggle with it.
And then, there is the technical aspect of Filmmaking where CGI and VFX is in full force., to integrate live action with CGI requires a pixel perfect accuracy, using current A.I models with this, will look like a slob job. Simulating complex physics like water, fire, hair etc at high resolution needs human input sorry, you'd even waste more time trying to prompt AI to do this. I do a lot of motion graphics, and i tell you, if i am to simulate snow fall, on Adobe AE, i need to precisely control CC particle world, and it's element such as, velocity, radius, resistance, and still maintaining a very high resolution of 1080p or 4K, doing this with A.I will not only waste my time, i wouldn't get anywhere near the quality, if i just do it myself.
There is still the copyrights issues grey area to sort out, who is to say OpenAI wouldn't want a piece of cake with WB, if Sora was used in making the Superman CGI and VFX.

AI models continue to improve as LLMs are constantly undergoing training, through patterns and prompt, and further than the line, they might attain an acceptable level of standard, but it's still far off, and so VFX and CGI artists are still the go to, for big budget Hollywood flicks, they bring a level of intentionality and finesse that AI simply can't replicate now, but AI models are already helping in so many other aspects of Filmmaking.

so basically AI tools like VEO can be used to create basic successes, but in the grand scheme of things, making actual movies and doing the hard work is something still unreachable by an Ai machine. It doesn't mean AI cannot be used to help film making. That seems like a viable explanation and education. Thank you for responding.

In essence yes...AI can be used to do very very basic stuff, that won't suffice for a straight to VOD release not to talk of a blockbuster. You still need the big guns for this kind of work.

Funny enough, even without the dawn of AI, pre puberty kids on YT have be churning out incredible VFX with just a PC running Core I5!, there is a young lad i follow, that recreated the sands in "DUNE" with 100% quality with just Blender, AE and Da Vinci resolve...AI can't touch these levels and point being, there are really really talented people out there, and it will take a whole lot of for AI to replace them, might happen, but it's still very very far off.

your stated points are good. But I must say the speed at which AI is growing is so rapid it's ridiculous. Creativity beats machinery anytime anyway.

Exterritorial.

Who put a minimum character requirement for the threads?! Shey, they know that films aren't usually 40 characters long, right? Now, folks will be padding anyhow.

Now you'll have to say more than just the media you're currently consuming. Not your usual one word naming and dipping anymore. 🤭

Predator: Killer of Killers......7/10

Great action. Nice sequence.
But I really don't like the animation style and design of the human characters— looked and sound pretty weird to me. Weak CGI to me especially the first story. The design for the Predator hunters look good tho....seems that's where all the budget went to.
