This is not a common activity in Nigeria but in the US, Non muslims often attend jumaah service. It is an excellent form of Dawaah, i think.

They are given a chair at the back to observe and they can approach the imam or someone knowledgeable afterwards to ask questions... I am sure many non-muslims are curious but do not know if they would be welcome.

I used to take my friend to the iftar at the mosque during ramadan and he used to observe the magrib prayers.

Have you ever taken a non-muslim friend to observe the jumaah service?

That doesn't mean anything. The most important thing is for your prayers to be answered.

So how do you know your prayers have been answered?

What do you mean by Africans/Nigerians mentality?

Those who came there already have a doubt in their minds that needs to be cleared. They are at a different stage from a plain non-believer!

A typical Christian won't come to join you in your prayers but to preach to you as fishers of men!

And lastly, there's nothing like African/Nigerians mentality but Islamic mentality!

Lakum deenukum waliya deen! To you is your religion aka way of life and to me is mine! Qur'an Surah Al-Kafiroon 109:6!
